FUEL LID LOCK CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY (for LHD) REMOVAL


  1. PRECAUTION

    Note

    After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal notice before proceeding with work Click here.

  2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    CAUTION:

    Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Click here.

  5. REMOVE TONNEAU COVER ASSEMBLY (w/ Tonneau Cover)


    1. Remove the tonneau cover.

  6. REMOVE REAR NO. 1 SEAT ASSEMBLY (for 60/40 Split Seat Type 60 Side)

    1. Place protective tape as shown in the illustration.

    2. Using a moulding remover, detach the 6 claws and remove the instrument side panel.

  10. REMOVE INSTRUMENT SIDE PANEL RH (w/o Airbag Cut Off Switch)

    2. Using a moulding remover, detach the 6 claws and remove the instrument side panel.

    2. Using a moulding remover, detach the 6 claws.

    3. Disconnect the connector and remove the instrument side panel.

  12. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH

  14. REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIM BOARD LH

    1. Remove the cap nut.

    2. Detach the 2 clips and remove the cowl side trim board.

  15. REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIM BOARD RH

    2. Detach the 2 clips and remove the cowl side trim board.

  16. REMOVE REAR STEP COVER

    Use the same procedure to remove the step cover on the other side.


    1. Detach the 2 claws and remove the step cover.

  17. REMOVE REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH

    2. Detach the 3 claws and 4 clips, and remove the scuff plate.

  18. REMOVE REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH

  21. REMOVE AIR DUCT PLUG

      Detach the 2 claws and remove the plug.

  22. REMOVE AIR DUCT GUIDE

    2. Detach the claw and remove the guide.

    1. Detach the 2 clips and 8 claws.

      Remove the carpet from the floor, open the back door and tail gate, and remove the carpet from the rear of the vehicle.

  27. REMOVE REAR FLOOR MAT REAR SUPPORT PLATE

    1. Detach the 6 clips and remove the support plate.

  28. REMOVE NO. 1 TONNEAU COVER HOLDER CAP (w/ Tonneau Cover)

    Use the same procedure to remove the tonneau cover holder cap on the other side.


    1. Detach the 2 claws and remove the tonneau cover holder cap.

  29. REMOVE REAR SEAT COVER CAP (w/ Rear No. 2 Seat, except Face to Face Seat Type)

    1. Using a screwdriver, detach the 3 claws and remove the rear seat cover cap.

      1. Remove the clip and bolt.

      2. Detach the 16 clips and 2 claws.

      3. w/o Rear Air Conditioning System:

        Disconnect the rear seat lock control lever cable and then remove the quarter trim panel.

      4. w/ Rear Air Conditioning System:

        Disconnect the thermistor connector and rear seat lock control lever cable, and then remove the quarter trim panel.

      1. Remove the clip.

      2. Detach the 16 clips and 2 claws, and remove the quarter trim panel.

    1. Turn the cable counterclockwise and remove the cable from the retainer.

      Turn the lock retainer counterclockwise and remove the lock retainer.

  32. REMOVE FUEL LID LOCK OPEN LEVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

      Detach the 2 claws.

    2. Disconnect the fuel lid lock control cable and remove the fuel lid lock open lever.

  33. REMOVE FUEL LID LOCK CONTROL CABLE SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. Using a screwdriver, disconnect the clamps shown in the illustration.

      Tech Tips

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
