INSTRUMENT PANEL SAFETY PAD DISASSEMBLY

  • Use the same procedure for RHD and LHD vehicles.

  • The procedure listed below is for LHD vehicles.


  1. REMOVE CENTER HEATER TO REGISTER DUCT

      Remove the 3 screws and center heater to register duct.

  2. REMOVE REAR NO. 1 AIR DUCT (w/ Rear Air Duct)

      Remove the 2 screws and rear No. 1 air duct.

  3. REMOVE FRONT PASSENGER AIRBAG ASSEMBLY

      Detach the claw and remove the wire.

    2. Disconnect the 2 connectors and remove the instrument panel wire from the front passenger airbag.

      Note

      When handling the airbag connector, take care not to damage the airbag wire harness.

      Remove the 2 screws.

    4. A0158T0E01

      Detach the 5 hooks (A).

    5. Detach the 5 hooks (B) and remove the front passenger airbag from the instrument panel.

  4. REMOVE DEFROSTER NOZZLE ASSEMBLY

      Detach the 11 claws and remove the defroster nozzle.

  5. REMOVE NO. 1 SIDE DEFROSTER NOZZLE

      Detach the 2 claws and remove the No. 1 side defroster nozzle.

  6. REMOVE NO. 2 SIDE DEFROSTER NOZZLE

      Detach the 3 claws and remove the No. 2 side defroster nozzle.

  7. REMOVE NAVIGATION ANTENNA ASSEMBLY (w/ Multi-display)


    1. for LHD:


      1. A015B3I

        Detach the 2 clamps.

      2. Remove the 2 screws and navigation antenna assembly.

    2. for RHD:


      1. A0157FU

        Detach the 2 clamps.

      2. Remove the 2 screws and navigation antenna assembly.

  8. REMOVE ANTENNA CORD SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/ Multi-display)


    1. for LHD:

      Detach the 8 clamps and remove the antenna cord.

    2. for RHD:

      Detach the 6 clamps and remove the antenna cord.

  9. REMOVE ANTENNA CORD SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/o Multi-display)


    1. for LHD:

      Detach the 7 clamps and remove the antenna cord.

    2. for RHD:

      Detach the 5 clamps and remove the antenna cord.

  10. REMOVE NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL WIRE (for LHD)


    1. Detach the clamps and remove the No. 2 instrument panel wire from the instrument panel.

  11. REMOVE NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL WIRE (for RHD)


    1. Detach the clamps and remove the No. 2 instrument panel wire from the instrument panel.
