IGNITION KEY CYLINDER LIGHT REMOVAL

  • Use the same procedure for RHD and LHD vehicles.

  • The procedure listed below is for LHD vehicles.


  1. REMOVE LOWER STEERING COLUMN COVER


    1. A0158ZO

      Remove the 3 screws.

    2. Detach the 2 claws to remove the lower steering column cover.

      Note

      Do not damage the tilt and telescopic switch.

  2. REMOVE UPPER STEERING COLUMN COVER

      Detach the 4 clips.

    2. Detach the claw to remove the upper steering column cover.

  3. REMOVE TRANSPONDER KEY AMPLIFIER


    1. A015DMX

      Turn the key amplifier as shown in the illustration to detach the 2 claws and remove the key amplifier. Using a screwdriver, widen the claw attached to the upper bracket by approximately 1.0 mm (0.039 in.).

    2. Pull out the transponder key amplifier with the claw open.

    3. Disconnect the connector and remove the transponder key amplifier.
