BACK DOOR LOCK INSTALLATION

Note

When installing a new back door lock assembly, if there is any tape stuck to it, remove the tape.
When installing a new back door lock assembly, if there are any strings attached to it, cut the strings off.

INSTALL BACK DOOR LOCK PROTECTOR (w/ Power Back Door)
1. Attach the 2 claws to install the protector (A).
2. Attach the 7 claws to install the protector (B).
3. Install the screw.
INSTALL BACK DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY
1. w/o Power Back Door:
  1. Install the back door lock assembly with the 3 bolts.
    
    Torque:
    
    13 N*m { 133 kgf*cm, 10 ft.*lbf }
  2. Connect the connector.
2. w/ Power Back Door:
  1. Install the back door lock assembly with the 4 bolts.
    
    Torque:
    
    13 N*m { 133 kgf*cm, 10 ft.*lbf }
  2. Attach the guide.
  3. Connect the connector.
INSTALL BACK DOOR LOCK COVER
1. Attach the 4 claws to install the back door lock cover.
INSTALL REAR ASSIST GRIP REINFORCEMENT (for Face to Face Seat Type)
1. Attach the 2 claws to install the rear assist grip reinforcement.
2. Install the 3 bolts.
INSTALL BACK DOOR GARNISH
1. Attach the 14 clips to install the back door garnish.
INSTALL DOOR OPENING SWITCH SUB-ASSEMBLY (for Face to Face Seat Type)
1. Attach the 2 claws to install the door opening switch sub-assembly.
INSTALL NO. 2 BACK DOOR SERVICE HOLE COVER (for Face to Face Seat Type)
1. Connect the connector.
2. Attach the 4 claws to install the No. 2 back door service hole cover.
INSTALL ASSIST GRIP (for Face to Face Seat Type)
1. Install the assist grip with the 2 screws.
INSTALL BACK DOOR SIDE GARNISH RH
1. w/o Power Back Door:
  
  Tech Tips
  
  Use the same procedure described for the LH side.
2. w/ Power Back Door:
  1. Attach the clip and 4 claws to install the back door side garnish RH.
INSTALL BACK DOOR SIDE GARNISH LH
1. Attach the 3 clips and 2 claws to install the back door side garnish LH.
INSTALL CENTER BACK DOOR GARNISH
1. Attach the 5 clips and 4 claws to install the center back door garnish.
