DESCRIPTION

This DTC is stored there is an open, short or ECU communication malfunction between the main body ECU (cowl side junction block LH) and certification ECU (smart key ECU assembly).

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

Note:

When using the intelligent tester with the ignition switch off to troubleshoot:

Connect the intelligent tester to the vehicle, and turn a courtesy switch on and off at 1.5 second intervals until communication between the intelligent tester and vehicle begins.

Tip:

When DTC B2287 and B2785 are output simultaneously, perform the troubleshooting for DTC B2785 first (Click here).

    CLEAR DTC


    1. Clear the DTC (Click here).


  2. Click here

    CHECK FOR DTC


    1. Recheck for DTCs (Click here).

    CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (CERTIFICATION ECU - MAIN BODY ECU)


    1. Disconnect the E29 and 2D ECU connectors.

    2. Measure the resistance and voltage according to the value(s) in the tables below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      E29-10 (LIN) - 2D-20 (LIN1) Always Below 1 Ω
      E29-10 (LIN) or 2D-20 (LIN1) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      Standard Voltage
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      E29-10 (LIN) or 2D-20 (LIN1) - Body ground Always Below 1 V

  4. Click here

    REPLACE MAIN BODY ECU (COWL SIDE JUNCTION BLOCK LH)


    1. Temporarily replace the main body ECU (cowl side junction block LH) with a new or normally functioning one.

    2. Clear the DTC (Click here).

    CHECK FOR DTC
