DESCRIPTION

The No. 1 ultrasonic sensor (FL sensor) is installed on the front bumper. The ECU detects obstacles based on signals received from the No. 1 ultrasonic sensor (FL sensor). If the No. 1 ultrasonic sensor (FL sensor) has an open or other malfunction, it will not function normally.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

Note:

If the DTC is output after repairs, turn the engine switch on (IG) and move the shift lever to R. Then clear the DTC.

    CHECK FOR DTC


    1. Clear the DTCs (Click here).

    2. Check for DTCs (Click here).

      OK
      DTC C1AE1 is not output.

  2. Click here

    REPLACE NO. 1 ULTRASONIC SENSOR (FL SENSOR)


    1. Replace the No. 1 ultrasonic sensor (FL sensor) with a normally functioning one (Click here).


  3. Click here

    CHECK FOR DTC


    1. Clear the DTCs (Click here).

    2. Check for DTCs (Click here).
