FRONT ACCELERATION SENSOR INSTALLATION

INSTALL ACCELERATION SENSOR (for Driver Side)
1. Install the sensor with the bolt.
  
  Torque:
  
  8.0 N*m { 82 kgf*cm, 71 in.*lbf }
2. Connect the connector.
INSTALL ACCELERATION SENSOR (for Front Passenger Side)
1. Install the sensor with the bolt.
  
  Torque:
  
  8.0 N*m { 82 kgf*cm, 71 in.*lbf }
2. Connect the connector.
INSTALL STEERING CONTROL ECU WITH JUNCTION BLOCK (for LHD)
1. Vehicle front side:
  1. Connect the 5 connectors.
2. Vehicle rear side:
  1. Install the steering control ECU with junction block to the vehicle with the 2 bolts and nut .
    
    Torque:
    
    8.0 N*m { 82 kgf*cm, 71 in.*lbf }
  2. Attach the 2 clamps.
  3. Connect the 7 connectors.
INSTALL STEERING CONTROL ECU WITH JUNCTION BLOCK (for RHD)
1. Vehicle front side:
  1. Connect the 3 connectors.
2. Vehicle rear side:
  1. Install the steering control ECU with junction block to the vehicle with the bolt and 2 nuts.
    
    Torque:
    
    8.0 N*m { 82 kgf*cm, 71 in.*lbf }
  2. Connect the 2 connectors.
INSTALL LOWER NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL
1. Connect the connector.
2. Attach the 3 claws to install the lower No. 2 instrument panel finish panel.
3. Install the 4 bolts.
INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL BOX DOOR KNOB
1. Attach the 2 claws to install the instrument panel box door knob.
INSTALL NO. 3 INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL GARNISH
1. Attach the 6 claws to install the No. 3 instrument cluster finish panel garnish.
INSTALL LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL (w/o Passenger Side Knee Airbag)
1. Attach the 4 claws to install the lower instrument panel.
2. Install the 2 bolts.
INSTALL FRONT PASSENGER SIDE KNEE AIRBAG ASSEMBLY (w/ Passenger Side Knee Airbag)
1. Connect the connector.
  
  Note
  
  When handling the airbag connector, take care not to damage the airbag wire harness.
2. Attach the 4 claws to install the front passenger side knee airbag.
3. Install the 4 bolts.
  
  Torque:
  
  10 N*m { 102 kgf*cm, 7 ft.*lbf }
INSTALL COWL SIDE TRIM BOARD RH
1. Attach the 2 clips to install the cowl side trim board.
2. Install the cap nut.
INSTALL NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/ Floor Under Cover)
1. Attach the 4 claws to install the No. 2 instrument panel under cover.
INSTALL FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH

Tech Tips

Use the same procedures described for the LH side.
INSTALL INSTRUMENT SIDE PANEL RH (w/ Airbag Cut Off Switch)
1. Connect the connector.
2. Attach the 6 claws to install the instrument side panel.
INSTALL INSTRUMENT SIDE PANEL RH (w/o Airbag Cut Off Switch)
1. Attach the 6 claws to install the instrument side panel.
INSTALL LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/o Driver Side Knee Airbag)
1. Attach the 2 claws and connect the DLC3.
2. Install the lower instrument panel with the 5 bolts.
INSTALL DRIVER SIDE KNEE AIRBAG ASSEMBLY (w/ Driver Side Knee Airbag)
1. Connect the connector.
  
  Note
  
  When handling the airbag connector, take care not to damage the airbag wire harness.
2. Install the driver side knee airbag with the 5 bolts.
  
  Torque:
  
  10 N*m { 102 kgf*cm, 7 ft.*lbf }
INSTALL NO. 1 SWITCH HOLE BASE
1. Connect the connectors.
2. Attach the 4 claws to install the No. 1 switch hole base.
INSTALL LOWER NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL
1. Connect the connectors.
2. for Automatic Air Conditioning System:
  1. Attach the 2 claws to install the room temperature sensor.
3. Attach the 2 claws to connect the 2 control cables.
4. w/ Driver Side Knee Airbag:
  1. Attach the 16 claws to install the lower No. 1 instrument panel finish panel.
  2. Install the 2 bolts.
5. w/o Driver Side Knee Airbag:
  1. Attach the 9 claws to install the lower No. 1 instrument panel finish panel.
  2. Install the 2 bolts.
6. Attach the 2 claws to close the hole cover.
INSTALL COWL SIDE TRIM BOARD LH
1. Attach the 2 clips to install the cowl side trim board.
2. Install the cap nut.
INSTALL NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/ Floor Under Cover)
1. Connect the connectors.
2. Attach the 3 claws to install the No. 1 instrument panel under cover.
3. Install the 2 screws.
INSTALL FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH
1. Attach the 7 claws and 4 clips to install the scuff plate.
INSTALL NO. 2 INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL GARNISH
1. Attach the 2 claws to install the No. 2 instrument cluster finish panel garnish.

1. Connect the connectors.
2. Attach the 7 claws to install the lower center instrument cluster finish panel sub-assembly.
INSTALL LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL PAD SUB-ASSEMBLY RH
1. Attach the 7 claws to install the lower instrument panel pad sub-assembly.
2. Install the clip and screw.
INSTALL NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL CUSHION
1. Attach the 7 claws to install the No. 1 instrument panel finish panel cushion.
INSTALL LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL PAD SUB-ASSEMBLY LH
1. Connect the connectors and attach the 2 clamps.
2. Attach the 8 claws to install the lower instrument panel pad sub-assembly.
3. Install the clip and screw.
INSTALL NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL CUSHION
1. Attach the 7 claws to install the No. 2 instrument panel finish panel cushion.
CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
