4WD CONTROL ECU INSTALLATION


  1. INSTALL FOUR WHEEL DRIVE CONTROL ECU


    1. A0159YN

      Install the ECU with the bolt.

      Torque:
      13 N*m  { 127 kgf*cm, 9 ft.*lbf }

    2. Connect the 2 ECU connectors.

  2. INSTALL LOWER NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL (for LHD)

    1. Connect the connector.

    2. Attach the 3 claws to install the lower No. 2 instrument panel finish panel.

    3. Install the 4 bolts.

  3. INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL BOX DOOR KNOB (for LHD)

    1. Attach the 2 claws to install the instrument panel box door knob.

  4. INSTALL NO. 3 INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL GARNISH (for LHD)

    1. Attach the 6 claws to install the No. 3 instrument cluster finish panel garnish.

  5. INSTALL COWL SIDE TRIM BOARD RH

    1. Attach the 2 clips to install the cowl side trim board.

    2. Install the cap nut.

  6. INSTALL DRIVER SIDE KNEE AIRBAG ASSEMBLY (for RHD)


    1. A01556EE01

      Connect the connector.

      Note

      When handling the airbag connector, take care not to damage the airbag wire harness.

    2. Install the driver side knee airbag with the 5 bolts.

      Torque:
      10 N*m  { 102 kgf*cm, 7 ft.*lbf }

  7. INSTALL LOWER NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL (for RHD)


    1. Connect the connectors.

      for Automatic Air Conditioning System:


      1. Attach the 2 claws to install the room temperature sensor.

    3. A0156SA

      Attach the 2 claws to connect the 2 control cables.

    4. w/ Driver Side Knee Airbag:


      1. Attach the 16 claws to install the lower No. 1 instrument panel finish panel.

      2. Install the 2 bolts.

    5. w/o Driver Side Knee Airbag:


      1. Attach the 9 claws to install the lower No. 1 instrument panel finish panel.

      2. Install the 2 bolts.

    6. A015ATT

      Attach the 2 claws to close the hole cover.

  8. INSTALL NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY (for RHD)

  9. INSTALL NO. 2 INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL GARNISH (for RHD)


    1. Attach the 2 claws to install the No. 2 instrument cluster finish panel garnish.

  10. INSTALL NO. 1 INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL GARNISH (for RHD)

    1. Attach the 3 claws to install the No. 1 instrument cluster finish panel garnish.

  11. INSTALL FRONT PASSENGER SIDE KNEE AIRBAG ASSEMBLY (for LHD)

      Connect the connector.

      Note

      When handling the airbag connector, take care not to damage the airbag wire harness.

    2. Attach the 4 claws to install the front passenger side knee airbag.

    3. Install the 4 bolts.

      Torque:
      10 N*m  { 102 kgf*cm, 7 ft.*lbf }

  12. INSTALL NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY (for LHD)

  13. INSTALL LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL PAD SUB-ASSEMBLY RH

    1. Attach the 7 claws to install the lower instrument panel pad sub-assembly.

    2. Install the clip and screw.

  14. INSTALL NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL CUSHION

    1. Attach the 7 claws to install the No. 1 instrument panel finish panel cushion.

  15. INSTALL FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH

    Use the same procedures described for the LH side.

  16. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Click here.
