PARK / NEUTRAL POSITION SWITCH REMOVAL


  1. REMOVE FRONT EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY (w/ DPF)

      Disconnect the air fuel ratio sensor connector.

    2. A015E69

      Disconnect the 2 air hoses.

    3. Disconnect the exhaust gas temperature sensor connector and detach the clamp.

    4. Remove the 2 bolts and 2 compression springs and disconnect the front exhaust pipe assembly from the center exhaust pipe assembly.

    5. Remove the 3 nuts and front exhaust pipe.

    6. Remove the 2 gaskets from the front exhaust pipe assembly.

  2. DISCONNECT FLOOR SHIFT GEAR SHIFTING ROD SUB-ASSEMBLY

    1. Remove the clip and pin, and disconnect the shifting rod from the transmission control shaft lever RH.

  3. REMOVE PARK/NEUTRAL POSITION SWITCH ASSEMBLY


    1. Disconnect the switch connector.

    2. A0155KS

      Remove the nut, spring washer and transmission control shaft lever RH.

    3. Remove the collar and transmission control rod bush from the transmission control shaft lever RH.

    4. A0155KP

      Using a screwdriver, bend the tabs of the lock washer.

    5. A015DFJ

      Remove the lock nut and lock washer.

    6. A0155W3

      Remove the bolt and switch.

      Tech Tips

      Make sure that the manual valve lever shaft has not been rotated prior to installing the park/neutral position switch as the detent spring may become detached from the manual valve lever shaft.
