DESCRIPTION

The distance control ECU sends the vehicle speed and estimated curve information to the millimeter wave radar sensor. The millimeter wave radar sensor sends information about whether another vehicle is present in front of the vehicle, the distance between the vehicles, relative speed, etc. to the distance control ECU. The distance control ECU sends this information to the ECM and performs control of cruise control.

DTC Code DTC Detection Condition Trouble Area
U1102 The vehicle speed is 50 km/h (30 mph) or more with the cruise control main switch on (vehicle-to-vehicle distance control mode) and the data sent from the distance control ECU to the millimeter wave radar sensor is abnormal.
  • Distance control ECU

  • Harness or connector

  • Millimeter wave radar sensor

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

Note:
  • When the distance control ECU is replaced with a new one, initialization must be performed (Click here).

  • When the millimeter wave radar sensor is replaced with a new one, adjustment of the radar sensor beam axis must be performed (Click here).

  • As it is possible that this DTC was stored due to a bad connection of a connector, make sure to check that each connector is connected securely.
