  1. Click here

    PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING INTELLIGENT TESTER (REAR A/C MAG VALVE)


    1. Select the Active Test, use the intelligent tester to generate a control command, and then check that the rear cooling unit expansion valve operates.

      OK
      Rear cooling unit expansion valve operates normally.

    INSPECT FUSE (A/C IG)


    1. Remove the A/C IG fuse from the cowl side junction block LH.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      A/C IG fuse Always Below 1 Ω

    CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (WIRING AIR CONDITIONING HARNESS - BATTERY)


    1. A015AG1E03

      Disconnect the wiring air conditioning harness sub-assembly connector.

    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      2 (+S) - Body ground Engine switch off Below 1 Ω
      Engine switch on (IG) 11 to 14 V

    CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (WIRING AIR CONDITIONING HARNESS - AIR CONDITIONING AMPLIFIER)


    1. Disconnect the wiring air conditioning harness sub-assembly connector.

    2. Disconnect the E36 amplifier connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      3 (RMGV) - E36-19 (RMGV) Always Below 1 Ω
      3 (RMGV) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      E36-19 (RMGV) - Body ground

  5. Click here

    CHECK REAR COOLING UNIT EXPANSION VALVE (OPERATION)


    1. Replace the rear cooling unit expansion valve (Click here).

      Tip:

      Since the rear cooling unit expansion valve cannot be inspected while it is removed from the vehicle, replace the rear cooling unit expansion valve with a normal one and check that the condition returns to normal.

      OK
      Same problem does not occur.

    CHECK WIRING AIR CONDITIONING HARNESS SUB-ASSEMBLY (OPERATION)


    1. Replace the wiring air conditioning harness sub-assembly with a normal one and check that the condition returns to normal.
