FRONT SEAT SIDE AIRBAG ASSEMBLY (for Manual Seat) REMOVAL

CAUTION:

Tip:

  • Use the same procedures for LHD and RHD vehicles.

  • The procedures listed below are for LHD vehicles.

    REMOVE FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY LH


    1. Remove the front seat assembly LH (Click here).

  2. Click here

    REMOVE VERTICAL ADJUSTER COVER LH (for 8 Way Seat Type)


    1. Using a screwdriver, detach the 2 claws and remove the vertical adjuster cover LH.

      Tip:

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

  3. Click here

    REMOVE VERTICAL ADJUSTING HANDLE LH (for 8 Way Seat Type)


    1. Remove the 2 screws and vertical adjusting handle LH.

  4. Click here

    REMOVE VERTICAL SEAT ADJUSTER KNOB (for 8 Way Seat Type)


    1. Remove the snap ring and vertical seat adjuster knob.

  5. Click here

    REMOVE RECLINING ADJUSTER RELEASE HANDLE LH


    1. Lift the reclining adjuster release handle LH.

    2. Using a screwdriver, detach the claw and remove the reclining adjuster release handle LH.

      Tip:

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

    REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD LH

      w/ Seatback Board:

      Disconnect the 2 rubber bands from the 2 hooks.

    2. A015CXB

      w/o Seatback Board:

      Disconnect the rubber band from the 2 hooks.

      for 4 Way Seat Type:


      1. Remove the 2 screws.

      2. Detach the 3 claws in the order shown in the illustration, and then remove the front seat cushion shield LH.

      for 8 Way Seat Type:


      1. Remove the 3 screws.

      2. Detach the 3 claws in the order shown in the illustration, and then remove the front seat cushion shield LH.

    5. w/ Lumbar Support:

      Disconnect the lumbar switch connector.

  7. Click here

    REMOVE FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY LH


    1. Disconnect the connectors and detach the clamps.

      Remove the nut and front seat inner belt assembly.

  8. Click here

    REMOVE FRONT INNER SEAT CUSHION SHIELD LH


    1. Remove the screw.

    2. Detach the claw and clip, and then remove the front inner seat cushion shield LH.

  9. Click here

    REMOVE FRONT SEATBACK BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY LH (w/ Seatback Board)


    1. Remove the 2 screws.

    2. Move the front seatback board sub-assembly LH in the direction of the arrow to detach the 2 hooks and remove it.

  10. Click here

    REMOVE FRONT SEAT HEADREST SUPPORT (w/ Active Headrest)


    1. Detach the 4 claws and remove the 2 front seat headrest supports.

    REMOVE SEATBACK COVER WITH PAD


    1. w/ Seatback Board:


      1. A015DYHE01

        Remove the 3 hog rings and detach the 9 hooks.

      2. A015APX

        w/ Front Seat Side Airbag:

        Remove the nut and seatback cover bracket from the seat frame.

    2. w/o Seatback Board:


      1. A0157S5

        Remove the 3 hog rings.

      2. A01568J

        Open the 2 fasteners, and then open the front separate type seatback cover.

      3. A015APX

        w/ Front Seat Side Airbag:

        Remove the nut and seatback cover bracket from the seat frame.

      4. A015E4A

        Detach the 4 claws and remove the 2 front seat headrest supports.

    3. Remove the seatback cover with pad from the seatback frame.

  12. Click here

    REMOVE FRONT SEAT AIRBAG ASSEMBLY LH


    1. A0158J8

      Detach the 5 clamps and disconnect the wire harness.

    2. A01589H

      Detach the 2 clamps and disconnect the wire harness.

    3. Remove the 2 nuts and front seat airbag assembly LH.

      CAUTION:

      Make sure that the seat frame assembly is not deformed. If it is, replace it with a new one.
