DRIVE BELT INSTALLATION


  1. INSTALL FAN AND GENERATOR V BELT

      *1 Water Pump Pulley
      *2 Fan Pulley
      *3 No. 1 Idler Pulley
      *4 Vane Pump Pulley
      *5 Generator Pulley
      *6 V-ribbed Belt Tensioner
      *7 Crankshaft Pulley
      *8 Cooler Compressor Pulley

      Set the fan and generator V belt onto every part.

    2. While turning the belt tensioner counterclockwise, remove the pin.

      Note

      Make sure that the fan and generator V belt is properly set on each pulley.

    3. Check that the belt fits properly in the ribbed grooves.

      Tech Tips

      Make sure to check by hand that the belt has not slipped out of the grooves on the bottom of the pulley.

  2. INSTALL NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. Install the No. 1 engine under cover sub-assembly with the 10 bolts.

      Torque:
      29 N*m  { 296 kgf*cm, 21 ft.*lbf }

  3. INSTALL FRONT FENDER SPLASH SHIELD SUB-ASSEMBLY LH


    1. Push in the clip to install the front fender splash shield sub-assembly LH.

    2. Install the 3 bolts and screw.

  4. INSTALL FRONT FENDER SPLASH SHIELD SUB-ASSEMBLY RH


    1. Push in the clip to install the front fender splash shield sub-assembly RH.

    2. Install the 3 bolts and 2 screws.

  5. INSTALL V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

      *4 Bracket

      Attach the 2 V-bank cover hooks to the bracket. Then align the 3 V-bank cover grommets with the 3 pins, and press down on the V-bank cover to attach the pins.
