      Component without harness connected

      (Auto High Beam Switch)

      Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      6 - 3 Auto high beam switch not pushed (OFF) 10 kΩ or higher
      Auto high beam switch pushed (ON) Below 1 Ω

      If the result is not as specified, replace the auto high beam switch.

    2. Connect a positive (+) lead from the battery to terminal 5 and a negative (-) lead to terminal 4.

    3. Check that the illumination of the switch comes on.

      OK
      The illumination comes on.

      If the result is not as specified, replace the auto high beam switch.
