HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY INSPECTION


  1. INSPECT HEADLIGHT UNIT LH


    1. Remove the headlight unit LH.

      Component without harness connected

      (Headlight Unit LH)

      Apply battery voltage to the headlight unit LH and check that the light comes on.

      OK
      Condition Specified Condition

      Battery positive (+) → Terminal 1

      Battery negative (-) → Terminal 3

      The light comes on

      (for parking light)

      Battery positive (+) → Terminal 2

      Battery negative (-) → Terminal 3

      The light comes on

      (for daytime running light)

      If the result is not as specified, replace the headlight unit LH.

  2. INSPECT HEADLIGHT UNIT RH


    1. Remove the headlight unit RH.

      Component without harness connected

      (Headlight Unit RH)

      Apply battery voltage to the headlight unit RH and check that the light comes on.

      OK
      Condition Specified Condition

      Battery positive (+) → Terminal 1

      Battery negative (-) → Terminal 3

      The light comes on

      (for parking light)

      Battery positive (+) → Terminal 2

      Battery negative (-) → Terminal 3

      The light comes on

      (for daytime running light)

      If the result is not as specified, replace the headlight unit RH.

  3. INSPECT HEADLIGHT CORD (for LH Side)


    1. Disconnect the headlight cord (for LH side).

      (Headlight Cord (for LH Side))

      		 - -

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      A18-2 (LHT) - LVL-2 Always Below 1 Ω
      A18-3 (LHIG) - LVL-3 Always Below 1 Ω
      A18-4 (HI) - HIL-2 Always Below 1 Ω
      A18-6 (LHE) - LVL-1 Always Below 1 Ω
      A18-8 (E) - HIL-1 Always Below 1 Ω

      If the result is not as specified, replace the headlight cord (for LH Side).

  4. INSPECT HEADLIGHT CORD (for RH Side)


    1. Disconnect the headlight cord (for RH side).

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      A51-2 (RHT) - LVR-2 Always Below 1 Ω
      A51-3 (RHIG) - LVR-3 Always Below 1 Ω
      A51-4 (HI) - HIR-2 Always Below 1 Ω
      A51-6 (RHE) - LVR-1 Always Below 1 Ω
      A51-8 (E) - HIR-1 Always Below 1 Ω

      If the result is not as specified, replace the headlight cord (for RH Side).
