LUGGAGE DOOR HINGE TORSION BAR INSTALLATION

Note

After installing the torsion bar, use your hand to open and close the luggage door. Make sure the luggage door can open and close smoothly.


  1. INSTALL LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR TORSION BAR SUPPORT

      Install a new luggage compartment door torsion bar support as shown in the illustration.

  2. INSTALL LUGGAGE DOOR HINGE TORSION BAR RH


    1. Check the identification mark on the luggage door hinge torsion bar RH.

      w/o Power Trunk Lid System
      No identification marks
      w/ Power Trunk Lid System

      Set the tip of the luggage door hinge torsion bar RH in the center installation hole. The upper and lower installation holes are used for adjustment.

      Connect the luggage door hinge torsion bar RH to the left side of the vehicle body as shown in the illustration.

      Using SST, install the luggage door hinge torsion bar RH to the luggage door hinge and the right side of the vehicle body as shown in the illustration.

      Connect the luggage door hinge torsion bar RH to the luggage compartment door torsion bar support as shown in the illustration.

  3. INSTALL LUGGAGE DOOR HINGE TORSION BAR LH


    1. Check the identification mark on the luggage door hinge torsion bar RH.

      Set the tip of the luggage door hinge torsion bar LH in the center installation hole. The upper and lower installation holes are used for adjustment.

      Connect the luggage door hinge torsion bar LH to the right side of the vehicle body as shown in the illustration.

      Using SST, install the luggage door hinge torsion bar LH to the luggage door hinge and the left side of the vehicle body as shown in the illustration.

      Connect the luggage door hinge torsion bar LH to the luggage compartment door torsion bar support as shown in the illustration.

      Engage the 2 claws as shown in the illustration.

  4. INSTALL LUGGAGE CLOSER MOTOR ASSEMBLY (w/ Power Trunk Lid System)


    1. Engage the 2 guides.

    2. Install the luggage closer motor assembly with the 3 bolts.

      Torque:
      5.5 N*m  { 56 kgf*cm, 49 in.*lbf }

    3. Install the nut.

      Torque:
      5.5 N*m  { 56 kgf*cm, 49 in.*lbf }

    4. Engage the clamp.

    5. Connect the connector.

  5. INSTALL LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR HINGE COVER LH

      Install the luggage compartment door hinge cover LH with the clip.

    2. Engage the clamp.

  6. INSTALL LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR HINGE COVER RH


    1. A01G6HL

      Install the luggage compartment door hinge cover RH with the clip.

  7. INSTALL LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT INNER TRIM COVER LH


    1. Install the 3 clips.

    2. Engage the 2 fasteners and install the luggage compartment inner trim cover LH.

  8. INSTALL ROPE HOOK (for LH Side)

      Engage the 2 claws and install the rope hook.

  9. INSTALL LUGGAGE HOLD BELT STRIKER ASSEMBLY (for LH Side)


    1. Engage the guide.

    2. Install the luggage hold belt striker assembly with the bolt.

  10. INSTALL LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER ASSEMBLY RH (w/ Power Trunk Lid System)


    1. Engage the 3 clips.

    2. Engage the 2 claws to install the luggage compartment trim cover assembly RH.

  11. INSTALL LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT INNER TRIM COVER RH (w/o Power Trunk Lid System)


    1. Install the 3 clips.

    2. Engage the 2 fasteners and install the luggage compartment inner trim cover RH.

  12. INSTALL LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT INNER TRIM COVER RH (w/ Power Trunk Lid System)


    1. Install the 2 clips.

    2. Engage the 4 fasteners and install the luggage compartment inner trim cover RH.

  13. INSTALL ROPE HOOK (for RH Side)

      Engage the 2 claws and install the rope hook.

  14. INSTALL LUGGAGE HOLD BELT STRIKER ASSEMBLY (for RH Side)


    1. Engage the guide.

    2. Install the luggage hold belt striker assembly with the bolt.

  15. INSTALL REAR FLOOR FINISH PLATE


    1. Engage the 4 clips and install the rear floor finish plate.

    2. Install the 3 clips.

  16. INSTALL LUGGAGE HOLD BELT STRIKER ASSEMBLY (for Rear Side)


    1. Engage the 2 guides.

    2. Install the 2 luggage hold belt striker assemblies with the 2 bolts.

  17. INSTALL SPARE WHEEL COVER PAD RH


    1. Install the spare wheel cover pad RH.

  18. INSTALL SPARE WHEEL COVER PAD LH


    1. Install the No. 2 spare wheel cover pad LH.

  19. INSTALL LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT FLOOR MAT


    1. Install the luggage compartment floor mat.

  20. INSTALL LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR COVER


    1. w/o Power Trunk Lid System:

        Install the luggage compartment door cover with the 11 clips.

    2. w/ Power Trunk Lid System:


      1. A01G9JN

        Engage the 2 claws.

      2. A01G50U

        Install the luggage compartment door cover with the 11 clips.

  21. INSTALL LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR ASSIST GRIP


    1. A01G5OP

      Install the luggage compartment door assist grip with the 2 screws.

    2. A01G6RW

      Engage the guide and 2 claws and close the cover.

  22. INSTALL LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR INSIDE HANDLE


    1. A01G7QM

      Install the luggage compartment door inside handle to the luggage door lock control cable sub-assembly.

  23. INSTALL LUGGAGE LOCK CONTROL CABLE PLATE


    1. A01G9RS

      Engage the 2 claws to install the luggage lock control cable plate.
