THEFT DETERRENT SYSTEM Intrusion Sensor Cancel Switch Circuit

DESCRIPTION

• When the intrusion sensor cancel switch on the roof console box assembly is pressed, the sensor off signal is sent to the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) which causes the intrusion sensor (theft warning ultrasonic sensor) to stop operating.

PROCEDURE

1. READ VALUE USING GTS

   
   

   1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

   2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).

   3. Turn the GTS on.

   4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Main Body / Data List.

   5. According to the display on the GTS, read the Data List.

   CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (MAIN BODY ECU (MULTIPLEX NETWORK BODY ECU) - ROOF CONSOLE BOX ASSEMBLY - BODY GROUND) Click here

   REPLACE MAIN BODY ECU (MULTIPLEX NETWORK BODY ECU) Click here

2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (MAIN BODY ECU (MULTIPLEX NETWORK BODY ECU) - ROOF CONSOLE BOX ASSEMBLY - BODY GROUND)

   
   

   1. Disconnect the H9 main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) connector.

   2. Disconnect the T10 intrusion sensor (theft warning ultrasonic sensor) (roof console box assembly) connector.

   3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition H9-8 (SSW1) - T10-22 (SOFT) Always Below 1 Ω T10-19 (GND) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω H9-8 (SSW1) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

   REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

   OK

3. INSPECT INTRUSION SENSOR CANCEL SWITCH (ROOF CONSOLE BOX ASSEMBLY)
