ULTRASONIC SENSOR (for Front Side) INSTALLATION


  1. INSTALL NO. 1 ULTRASONIC SENSOR RETAINER (for Front Sensor)

    Tech Tips


    • Perform this step only when necessary.

    • If a No. 1 ultrasonic sensor retainer has been removed, install a new one and the ultrasonic sensor with clip as a set to the front bumper assembly.

    • Use the same procedure for all No. 1 ultrasonic sensor retainers.

      Engage the 2 claws and install a new No. 1 ultrasonic sensor retainer to the No. 1 ultrasonic sensor.

      Using a brush or felt, apply primer or equivalent to the No. 1 ultrasonic sensor retainer installation area.

      Note


      • Use a clean brush or felt.

      • Do not touch the front bumper assembly until the primer has dried.

    3. Peel off the release paper from the new No. 1 ultrasonic sensor retainer.

      Press on the areas indicated by the arrows in the illustration to install the No. 1 ultrasonic sensor retainer and the No. 1 ultrasonic sensor as a set.

      Note

      Do not damage the front bumper assembly with the protrusion when installing the retainer.

      Tech Tips

      Stick the new No. 1 ultrasonic sensor retainer on the line marked on the front bumper assembly.

  2. INSTALL NO. 2 ULTRASONIC SENSOR RETAINER (for Corner Sensor)

    Tech Tips


    • Perform this step only when necessary.

    • If a No. 2 ultrasonic sensor retainer has been removed, install a new one and the ultrasonic sensor with clip as a set to the front bumper assembly.

    • Use the same procedure for all No. 2 ultrasonic sensor retainers.

      Engage the 2 claws and install a new No. 2 ultrasonic sensor retainer to the No. 1 ultrasonic sensor.

  3. INSTALL NO. 1 ULTRASONIC SENSOR
