NAVIGATION SYSTEM Stereo Jack Adapter Light does not Illuminate

DESCRIPTION

Power is supplied to the No. 1 stereo jack adapter assembly illumination from the multi-media module receiver assembly.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

Depending on the parts that are replaced during vehicle inspection or maintenance, performing initialization, registration or calibration may be needed. Refer to Precautions for Navigation System Click here.

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (NO. 1 STEREO JACK ADAPTER ASSEMBLY ILLUMINATION POWER SOURCE)


    1. Disconnect the H66 No. 1 stereo jack adapter assembly connector.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      H66-4 (GND) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
    3. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      H66-1 (+B) - H66-4 (GND) Always 11 to 14 V
      H66-2 (ACC) - H66-4 (GND) Engine switch on (ACC) 11 to 14 V

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (MULTI-MEDIA MODULE RECEIVER ASSEMBLY - NO. 1 STEREO JACK ADAPTER ASSEMBLY)


    1. Disconnect the H94 multi-media module receiver assembly connector.

    2. Disconnect the H66 No. 1 stereo jack adapter assembly connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      H94-12 (+B) - H66-1 (+B) Always Below 1 Ω
      H94-11 (ACC) - H66-2 (ACC) Always Below 1 Ω
      H94-7 (GND2) - H66-4 (GND) Always Below 1 Ω
      H94-12 (+B) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      H94-11 (ACC) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      H94-7 (GND2) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
