NAVIGATION SYSTEM Stereo Jack Adapter Light does not Illuminate

DESCRIPTION

Power is supplied to the No. 1 stereo jack adapter assembly illumination from the multi-media module receiver assembly.

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (NO. 1 STEREO JACK ADAPTER ASSEMBLY ILLUMINATION POWER SOURCE)


    1. Disconnect the H176 and H174 No. 1 stereo jack adapter assembly connectors.

      Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      H176-1 (USV1) - Body ground Engine switch on (ACC) 5 V
      H174-12 (ACC) - Body ground Engine switch on (ACC) 11 to 14 V

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (MULTI-MEDIA MODULE RECEIVER ASSEMBLY - NO. 1 STEREO JACK ADAPTER ASSEMBLY)


    1. Disconnect the H164 multi-media module receiver assembly connector (for LHD).

      Disconnect the H172 multi-media module receiver assembly connector (for RHD).

    2. Disconnect the H176 No. 1 stereo jack adapter assembly connector.

      Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      H176-1 (USV1) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      for RHD
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      H176-1 (USV1) - H172-1 (USV1) Always Below 1 Ω
      H176-1 (USV1) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (MULTI-MEDIA MODULE RECEIVER ASSEMBLY - NO. 1 STEREO JACK ADAPTER ASSEMBLY)


    1. Disconnect the H188 multi-media module receiver assembly connector.

    2. Disconnect the H174 No. 1 stereo jack adapter assembly connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      H188-11 (ACC) - H174-12 (ACC) Always Below 1 Ω
      H188-11 (ACC) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
