INSPECTION PROCEDURE

Note

Inspect the fuses for circuits related to this system before performing the following inspection procedure.

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (STEREO COMPONENT AMPLIFIER ASSEMBLY - POWER SOURCE)


    1. Disconnect the H88 and H87 stereo component amplifier assembly connectors.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      H88-3 (GND) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
      H88-18 (GND2) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

    3. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      H88-1 (+B) - H88-3 (GND) Always 11 to 14 V
      H88-16 (+B2) - H88-3 (GND) Always 11 to 14 V
      H87-12 (ACC) - H88-3 (GND) Engine switch on (ACC) 11 to 14 V
