AUDIO AND VISUAL SYSTEM (w/o Multi-display) Microphone Circuit between Microphone and Radio Receiver

DESCRIPTION

Using this circuit, the radio receiver assembly sends power to the roof console box assembly (telephone microphone assembly), and the roof console box assembly (telephone microphone assembly) sends microphone signals to the radio receiver assembly.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (ROOF CONSOLE BOX ASSEMBLY (TELEPHONE MICROPHONE ASSEMBLY) - RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY)


    1. Disconnect the T11 roof console box assembly (telephone microphone assembly) connector.

    2. Disconnect the H84 radio receiver assembly connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      H84-1 (SNS2) - T11-1 (SNS2) Always Below 1 Ω
      H84-2 (MIN+) - T11-3 (MCO+) Always Below 1 Ω
      H84-3 (MACC) - T11-4 (MACC) Always Below 1 Ω
      H84-5 (MIN-) - T11-2 (MCO-) Always Below 1 Ω
      H84-1 (SNS2) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      H84-2 (MIN+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      H84-3 (MACC) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      H84-5 (MIN-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      H84-6 (SGND) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

      Disconnect the H84 radio receiver assembly connector.

    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      H84-6 (SGND) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
    4. Proceed to the next step based on the inspection result.

    1. Reconnect the H84 radio receiver assembly connector.

      Reconnect the T11 roof console box assembly (telephone microphone assembly) connector.

    3. Turn the engine switch on (ACC).

    4. Connect an oscilloscope to terminals 3 (MCO+) and 2 (MCO-) of the T11 roof console box assembly (telephone microphone assembly) connector.

    5. Check the waveform of the telephone microphone assembly using the oscilloscope.

  5. REPLACE TELEPHONE MICROPHONE ASSEMBLY
