PARKING BRAKE CABLE INSTALLATION


  1. INSTALL NO. 2 PARKING BRAKE CABLE CLAMP


    1. Install a new No. 2 parking brake cable clamp to the No. 3 parking brake cable assembly.

  2. INSTALL NO. 3 PARKING BRAKE CABLE ASSEMBLY


    1. Install the No. 3 parking brake cable assembly with the 4 bolts and nut.

      Torque:
      Bolt (A) and Nut
      8.5 N*m  { 87 kgf*cm, 75 in.*lbf }
      Bolt (B)
      6.0 N*m  { 61 kgf*cm, 53 in.*lbf }

    2. Install the No. 3 parking brake cable assembly with the bolt.

      Torque:
      8.0 N*m  { 82 kgf*cm, 71 in.*lbf }

    3. Install the clip to the No. 3 parking brake cable assembly.

  3. INSTALL NO. 2 FLOOR UNDER COVER (for LH Side)


    1. Install the No. 2 floor under cover with the 2 bolts, 3 nuts and 2 clips.

      Torque:
      4.0 N*m  { 41 kgf*cm, 35 in.*lbf }

  4. INSTALL NO. 1 FLOOR UNDER COVER (for RH Side)


    1. Install the No. 1 floor under cover with the 2 bolts, 3 nuts and 2 clips.

      Torque:
      4.0 N*m  { 41 kgf*cm, 35 in.*lbf }

  5. INSTALL PARKING BRAKE SHOE LEVER

  6. INSTALL FRONT NO. 2 FLOOR HEAT INSULATOR (for 2AR-FE)


    1. Install the front No. 2 floor heat insulator with the 3 nuts.

      Torque:
      4.9 N*m  { 50 kgf*cm, 43 in.*lbf }

  7. INSTALL FRONT EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY (for 2AR-FE)

  8. INSTALL NO. 4 PARKING BRAKE CABLE ASSEMBLY

      *2 Rubber Boot
      *3 Parking Brake Equalizer

      Install the No. 4 parking brake cable assembly to the parking brake equalizer.

    2. Slide the parking brake equalizer and rubber boot as shown in the illustration.

      Note

      Make sure that the rubber boot is securely inserted into the groove of the No. 4 parking brake cable assembly.

      Connect the No. 3 parking brake cable assembly to the parking brake equalizer.

    4. Connect the No. 2 parking brake cable assembly to the parking brake equalizer.

  9. INSTALL NO. 4 CROSS MEMBER FLOOR REINFORCEMENT SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. Install the No. 4 cross member floor reinforcement sub-assembly with the 8 bolts.

      Torque:
      19 N*m  { 189 kgf*cm, 14 ft.*lbf }

    2. Install the floor carpet.

  10. INSTALL NO. 2 CONSOLE BOX MOUNTING BRACKET


    1. Install the No. 2 console box mounting bracket with the 2 bolts.

    2. Engage the 2 clamps to install the wire harness to the No. 2 console box mounting bracket.

  11. INSTALL FRONT FLOOR CAUTION PLATE COVER

      Engage the guide and claw to install the front floor caution plate cover.

  12. INSTALL FLOOR CARPET HOOK


    1. Engage the 6 clamps to install the 6 floor carpet hooks.

    2. Engage the 6 guides.

  13. INSTALL STEREO COMPONENT AMPLIFIER ASSEMBLY WITH BRACKET


    1. Engage the 2 guides to temporarily install the stereo component amplifier assembly with bracket.

    2. Install the stereo component amplifier assembly with bracket with the bolt.

    3. Connect each connector.

  14. INSTALL AUDIO AMPLIFIER COVER


    1. Engage the 2 claws to temporarily install the audio amplifier cover.

    2. Install the audio amplifier cover with the clip.

  15. INSTALL TELEMATICS TRANSCEIVER WITH MAYDAY BATTERY (w/ Telematics Transceiver)


    1. Connect each connector.

    2. Engage the 2 guides to the vehicle body to temporarily install the telematics transceiver with mayday battery.

    3. Install the telematics transceiver with back-up battery with the bolt.

  16. INSTALL AUDIO AMPLIFIER COVER (w/ Telematics Transceiver)


    1. Install the audio amplifier cover with the 2 clips.

  17. INSTALL FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY LH

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  19. INSTALL CENTER PILLAR LOWER GARNISH LH


    1. Engage the 2 claws and 2 guides.

    2. Engage the 5 clips to install the center pillar lower garnish LH.

  20. INSTALL REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH


    1. Engage the 8 claws to install the rear door scuff plate LH.

  21. INSTALL CENTER PILLAR LOWER GARNISH RH

  25. INSTALL NO. 1 PARKING BRAKE CABLE ASSEMBLY (for LHD)


    1. Pass the No. 1 parking brake cable assembly through the parking brake pedal assembly.

    2. Install the clip to the No. 1 parking brake cable assembly.

    3. Temporarily install the adjusting nut.

      Bend the parking brake pedal claw.

  26. INSTALL NO. 1 PARKING BRAKE CABLE ASSEMBLY (for RHD)


    1. Pass the No. 1 parking brake cable assembly through the parking brake pedal assembly.

    2. Install the clip to the No. 1 parking brake cable assembly.

    3. Temporarily install the adjusting nut.
