This DTC will be stored if the power steering ECU assembly determines that the assist map is not written in the ECU.

If the power steering ECU assembly has been replaced with a new one, perform assist map writing and torque sensor zero point calibration Click here.

Tech Tips
DTC C1581 is stored when a part with an incorrect part number is installed for the related parts listed above.
When DTC C1581 is output when parts have not been exchanged, replace the power steering ECU assembly as it may have an internal malfunction.
