VEHICLE STABILITY CONTROL SYSTEM TRC OFF Indicator Light does not Come ON

DESCRIPTION

The skid control ECU (brake actuator assembly) is connected to the combination meter assembly via CAN communication.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

When replacing the skid control ECU (brake actuator assembly), perform zero point calibration Click here.

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM


    1. Check if CAN communication system DTCs are output Click here.

      Result

    INSPECT CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM Click here

  2. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING GTS (TRC OFF INDICATOR LIGHT)


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Start the engine.

    3. Select the Active Test on the GTS Click here.

      TRC(TRAC) OFF Indicator Light Multi-information display (TRC OFF indicator light) Display (Indicator light) ON/OFF Can be observed on the combination meter assembly

    4. Check that the multi-information display (TRC OFF indicator light) on the combination meter assembly turns on or off in accordance with the GTS operation.

      OK
      The multi-information display (TRC OFF indicator light) turns on or off in accordance with the Active Test operation.

    REPLACE BRAKE ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY Click here

  3. INSPECT COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY


    1. Turn the engine switch off.

    2. Perform an Active Test of the combination meter assembly (meter CPU) using the GTS Click here.

    3. Check the combination meter assembly.

      OK
      The multi-information display turns on or off in accordance with the Active Test operation.
