DESCRIPTION
The skid control ECU (brake actuator assembly) is connected to the combination meter assembly via CAN communication.

CHECK CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
Check if CAN communication system DTCs are output Click here.

CHECK BRAKE WARNING LIGHT
Disconnect the A40 skid control ECU (brake actuator assembly) connector.
Turn the engine switch on (IG).
Check that the brake warning light comes on.

INSPECT COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY
Turn the engine switch off.
Reconnect the A40 skid control ECU (brake actuator assembly) connector.
Perform an Active Test of the combination meter assembly (meter CPU) using the GTS Click here.
Check the combination meter assembly.
