VEHICLE STABILITY CONTROL SYSTEM, Diagnostic DTC:C1381

DTC Code DTC Name
C1381 Acceleration Sensor Power Supply Voltage Malfunction

DESCRIPTION

This DTC is stored when the skid control ECU (brake actuator assembly) receives a sensor supply voltage malfunction signal from the yaw rate and acceleration sensor (airbag sensor assembly).

DTC No. DTC Detection Condition Trouble Area
C1381 At a vehicle speed of more than 3 km/h (2 mph), an acceleration sensor power source malfunction signal is received for 10 seconds or more.
  • Yaw rate and acceleration sensor power source circuit

  • Yaw rate and acceleration sensor (Airbag sensor assembly)

(to Yaw Rate and Acceleration Sensor (Airbag Sensor Assembly))

Make sure that there is no looseness at the locking part and the connecting part of the connector.

    2. Disconnect the H36 yaw rate and acceleration sensor (airbag sensor assembly) connector.

    3. Turn the engine switch on (IG).

    4. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      H36-21 (IG2) - Body ground Engine switch on (IG) 11 to 14 V

(to Yaw Rate and Acceleration Sensor (Airbag Sensor Assembly))

      Turn the engine switch off.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      H36-25 (E1) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
      H36-26 (E2) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

    NG
    OK
  3. RECONFIRM DTC

    1. Reconnect the H36 yaw rate and acceleration sensor (airbag sensor assembly) connector.

    2. Clear the DTCs Click here.

    3. Turn the engine switch off.

    4. Start the engine.

    5. Drive the vehicle at a speed of 3 km/h (2 mph) or more for at least 10 seconds.

    6. Check if the same DTC is output Click here.
