ENGINE SWITCH INSPECTION


  1. INSPECT ENGINE SWITCH


    1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      H44-5 (SS1) - H44-6 (AGND) Not pushed 10 kΩ or higher
      H44-1 (SS2) - H44-6 (AGND)
      H44-5 (SS1) - H44-6 (AGND) Pushed Below 1 Ω
      H44-1 (SS2) - H44-6 (AGND)

      If the result is not as specified, replace the engine switch.

    2. Apply battery voltage between the terminals of the switch, and check the illumination condition of the engine switch.

      Battery positive (+) → Terminal H44-9 (SWIL)

      Battery negative (-) → Terminal H44-6 (AGND)

      Tech Tips


      • If a positive (+) battery lead and a negative (-) battery lead are incorrectly connected, the engine switch indicator light will not illuminate.

      • If the voltage is too low, the indicator light will not illuminate.

      If the result is not as specified, replace the engine switch.
