INSTRUMENT PANEL SAFETY PAD DISASSEMBLY


  1. REMOVE NO. 1 SIDE DEFROSTER NOZZLE DUCT

      Remove the screw <D>.

    2. Disengage the 2 claws to remove the No. 1 side defroster nozzle duct.

  2. REMOVE NO. 2 SIDE DEFROSTER NOZZLE DUCT

      Remove the screw <D>.

    2. Disengage the 2 claws to remove the No. 2 side defroster nozzle duct.

  3. REMOVE AUTOMATIC LIGHT CONTROL SENSOR

      Disengage the 2 claws.

    2. A01G94R

      Disconnect the connector and remove the automatic light control sensor.

  4. REMOVE NO. 1 DEFROSTER NOZZLE GARNISH


    1. Disengage the 9 claws and 8 guides and remove the No. 1 defroster nozzle garnish as shown in the illustration.

  5. REMOVE DEFROSTER NOZZLE ASSEMBLY

      Remove the 3 screws <D> and defroster nozzle assembly.

  6. REMOVE NO. 1 HEATER TO REGISTER DUCT


    1. w/o Ion Generator:


      1. A01G9UU

        Remove the 3 screws <D> and No. 1 heater to register duct.

    2. w/ Ion Generator:


      1. A01G7BS

        Remove the 3 screws <D>.

      2. Disengage the No. 1 heater to register duct from the No. 6 heater to register duct to remove it.

  7. REMOVE NO. 3 HEATER TO REGISTER DUCT

      Remove the 3 screws <D> and No. 3 heater to register duct.

  8. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL PASSENGER AIRBAG ASSEMBLY

    CAUTION:

    When storing the instrument panel passenger airbag assembly, keep the airbag deployment side facing upward.

      Remove the 2 screws and disengage the 2 clamps.

    2. A01G5YF

      Lean the instrument panel safety pad assembly and disengage the 3 hooks.

    3. A01G7TJ

      Disengage the 3 hooks to remove the instrument panel passenger airbag assembly from the instrument panel safety pad assembly.

  9. REMOVE ANTENNA CORD SUB-ASSEMBLY (for LHD)


    1. w/o Navigation System:

        Disengage the 6 clamps and remove the antenna cord sub-assembly.

    2. w/ Navigation System:


      1. A01G7Z0

        Disengage the 7 clamps and remove the antenna cord sub-assembly.

  10. REMOVE ANTENNA CORD SUB-ASSEMBLY (for RHD)

      Disengage the 7 clamps and remove the antenna cord sub-assembly.

  11. REMOVE NAVIGATION ANTENNA ASSEMBLY (w/ Navigation System)


    1. for LHD:

        Disengage the 2 clamps.

      2. Remove the 2 screws and navigation antenna assembly.

    2. for RHD:

        Disengage the 2 clamps.

      2. Remove the 2 screws and navigation antenna assembly.

  12. REMOVE NO. 3 INSTRUMENT PANEL WIRE


    1. for LHD:


      1. A01G916

        Disengage the 6 clamps and remove the No. 3 instrument panel wire.

    2. for RHD:


      1. A01G55R

        Disengage the 5 clamps and remove the No. 3 instrument panel wire.

  13. REMOVE NO. 1 ION GENERATOR BRACKET (w/ Ion Generator)

      Remove the 2 screws <D> and No. 1 ion generator bracket.

  14. REMOVE NO. 2 ION GENERATOR BRACKET (w/ Ion Generator)

      Remove the screw <D>, No. 2 ion generator bracket and No. 6 heater to register duct.

  15. REMOVE NO. 1 SIDE DEFROSTER NOZZLE

      Using a moulding remover, disengage the 4 claws and remove the No. 1 side defroster nozzle.

  16. REMOVE NO. 2 SIDE DEFROSTER NOZZLE

      Using a moulding remover, disengage the 4 claws and remove the No. 2 side defroster nozzle.

  17. REMOVE NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL PIN

      Remove the 4 screws <E> and 4 No. 1 instrument panel pins.

  18. REMOVE NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL BRACKET

      Remove the 2 screws <E> and No. 2 instrument panel bracket.

  19. REMOVE NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL BRACKET

      Remove the 4 screws <E> and No. 1 instrument panel bracket.
