SEAT HEATER CONTROL (for Rear Side) REMOVAL


  1. PRECAUTION

    CAUTION:

    Be sure to read Precaution thoroughly before servicing Click here.

    Note

    After turning the engine switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal notices before proceeding with work Click here.

  2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    CAUTION:

    Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

    Note

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Click here.

  3. REMOVE REAR SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY

  4. REMOVE REAR CENTER SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY

  5. REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY

      *1 Rear Seatback Hinge Hook

      Disengage the 2 hooks <A> on the front side of the rear seat cushion assembly from the vehicle body as shown in the illustration.

      Standard Measurement
      a 100 mm (3.94 in.) or less

      Note

      Follow the instructions below carefully as the cushion frame can be deformed easily.


      1. Choose a hook to disengage first. Place your hands near the hook as shown in the illustration. Then lift the rear seat cushion to disengage the hook.

      2. Repeat the step above for the other hook.

    2. Disengage the 2 hooks <B> on the rear side of rear seat cushion assembly from the rear seatback hinge hook.

      Remove the buckle of the rear seat inner with center belt assembly LH and buckle of the rear seat inner with center belt assembly RH from the rear seat cushion assembly.

    4. w/ Climate Control Seat System:


      1. Disconnect the rear seat heater connector.

    5. Remove the rear seat cushion assembly.

      Note

      Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.

  6. REMOVE REAR SEATBACK ASSEMBLY

      *1 Protective Tape

      Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped with protective tape, disengage the claw and disconnect the rear seat shoulder belt guide LH.

      Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped with protective tape, disengage the claw and disconnect the rear seat shoulder belt guide RH.

      Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped with protective tape, disengage the claw and disconnect the rear center seat shoulder belt guide.

    4. Disconnect the 2 rear seat airbag assembly connectors.

      *3 Rear Seat 3 Point Type Outer Belt Assembly LH
      *4 Rear Seat 3 Point Type Outer Belt Assembly RH
      *5 Rear Seat Inner with Center Belt Assembly LH

      Disengage the 2 clamps and disconnect the 2 rear seat airbag assembly wire harnesses.

    6. Remove the 4 bolts.

    7. Disconnect the rear seat 3 point type outer belt assembly LH, rear seat 3 point type outer belt assembly RH and rear seat inner with center belt assembly LH from the rear seatback assembly.

    8. Disengage the 3 hooks and remove the rear seatback assembly.

      Note

      Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.

  7. REMOVE SEAT HEATER CONTROL SUB-ASSEMBLY

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure for the RH side and the LH side.

      Disconnect the connector.

    2. Remove the 2 screws and seat heater control sub-assembly.
