FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY DISASSEMBLY

Tech Tips


  • Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

  • The following procedure is for the LH side.


  1. REMOVE SEAT POSITION AIRBAG SENSOR (for Driver Side)

      Disconnect the connector.

    2. Using a T30 "TORX" socket wrench, remove the "TORX" bolt and seat position airbag sensor with the seat slide position sensor protector.

      Remove the seat position airbag sensor from the seat slide position sensor protector as shown in the illustration.

  2. REMOVE POWER SEAT SWITCH ASSEMBLY (for Front Passenger Side with Power Seat Switch Assembly)

      Disengage the 2 claws to separate the power seat switch assembly from the front seat assembly RH.

    2. A01G6OF

      Disconnect the connector to remove the power seat switch assembly.

  3. DISCONNECT FRONT SEATBACK BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/o Foot Light)


    1. A01G8V3

      Disconnect the rubber band of the front seatback board sub-assembly from the front seat adjuster assembly.

  4. DISCONNECT FRONT SEATBACK BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/ Foot Light)


    1. A01G8V3

      Disconnect the rubber band of the front seatback board sub-assembly from the front seat adjuster assembly.

    2. A01G4LE

      Disengage the 2 fasteners.

    3. for Driver Side:


      1. A01G8F3

        Disengage the 2 clamps.

      2. Disconnect the connector.

    4. for Front Passenger Side:


      1. A01G9FY

        Disengage the clamp.

      2. Disconnect the connector.

  5. REMOVE NO. 1 INTERIOR ILLUMINATION LIGHT ASSEMBLY (w/ Foot Light)

      Disengage the claw and remove the rear lower front seatback cover.

    2. A01G7WJ

      Disengage the 2 claws and remove the No. 1 interior illumination light assembly from the rear lower front seatback cover.

  6. REMOVE FRONT SEAT INNER CUSHION SHIELD


    1. A01G6BC

      Remove the clip.

    2. A01G45C

      Remove the screw.

    3. A01G8XF

      Disengage the 3 claws and 4 guides to remove the front seat inner cushion shield.

  7. REMOVE FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY (for Driver Side)


    1. Disengage each clamp under the front seat assembly.

    2. A01G7DF

      Disconnect the connector.

    3. Disengage the clamp.

    4. Remove the nut and front seat inner belt assembly.

  8. REMOVE FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY (for Front Passenger Side)


    1. Disengage each clamp under the front seat assembly.

    2. A01G8Y7

      Disengage the clamp.

    3. Remove the nut and front seat inner belt assembly.

  9. REMOVE SEAT ADJUSTER COVER CAP

      Remove the 2 seat adjuster cover caps.

  10. REMOVE FRONT INNER NO. 1 SEAT CUSHION SHIELD

      Remove the 2 screws.

    2. Disengage the 2 claws and 2 clips to remove the front inner No. 1 seat cushion shield.

  11. REMOVE FRONT POWER ADJUSTER SHIELD

      Remove the 2 screws.

    2. Disengage the 2 claws to remove the front power adjuster shield.

    3. w/ Variable Seat Cushion System:


      1. A01G7PB

        Disconnect the connector from the seat variable cushion switch.

    4. w/o Seat Position Memory System:


      1. A01G6UF

        Disconnect the connector from the front power seat switch.

    5. w/ Seat Position Memory System:


      1. A01G9FP

        Disconnect the 2 connectors from the front power seat switch.

    6. A01G63M

      Disconnect the connector from the front lumbar power seat switch.

  12. REMOVE SLIDE AND VERTICAL POWER SEAT SWITCH KNOB


    1. A01G81B

      Using a moulding remover, disengage the 4 claws to remove the slide and vertical power seat switch knob.

  13. REMOVE RECLINING POWER SEAT SWITCH KNOB

      Using a moulding remover, disengage the 4 claws to remove the reclining power seat switch knob.

  14. REMOVE SEAT VARIABLE CUSHION SWITCH (w/ Variable Seat Cushion System)


    1. A01G8JA

      Remove the 2 screws and seat variable cushion switch from the front power adjuster shield LH.

  15. REMOVE FRONT POWER SEAT SWITCH (w/o Seat Position Memory System)

      Remove the 3 screws and front power seat switch from the front power adjuster shield.

  16. REMOVE FRONT POWER SEAT SWITCH (w/ Seat Position Memory System)

      Remove the 3 screws and front power seat switch from the front power adjuster shield.

  17. REMOVE FRONT LUMBAR POWER SEAT SWITCH


    1. A01G5JX

      Disengage the 4 claws to remove the front lumbar power seat switch from the front power adjuster shield.

  18. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD


    1. A01G87M

      Remove the 2 screws.

    2. A01G6XQ

      Disengage the 3 claws and 5 guides to remove the front seat cushion shield.

  19. REMOVE FRONT LOWER SEAT CUSHION SHIELD


    1. A01G9EI

      Remove the screw.

    2. Disengage the clip to remove the front lower seat cushion shield.

  20. REMOVE SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEAT CUSHION COVER WITH PAD (w/o Variable Seat Cushion System)


    1. w/o Seat Heater System:


      1. A01G6DN

        Disengage the 2 clamps.

    2. w/ Seat Heater System:


      1. A01G8OG

        Disconnect the connector.

      2. Disengage the 3 clamps.

      3. A01G6MK

        Disconnect the 2 connectors.

    3. w/ Climate Control Seat System:


      1. A01G8S2

        Disengage the 3 claws to separate the seat cushion climate control duct from the separate type front seat cushion pad.

    4. A01G6SJ

      Remove the 4 clips.

    5. Disengage each hook and remove the separate type front seat cushion cover with pad.

  21. REMOVE SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEAT CUSHION COVER WITH PAD (w/ Variable Seat Cushion System)


    1. w/o Seat Heater System:

        Disengage the 2 clamps.

    2. w/ Seat Heater System:


      1. A01G8OG

        Disconnect the connector.

      2. Disengage the 3 clamps.

      3. A01G6MK

        Disconnect the 2 connectors.

    3. w/ Climate Control Seat System:


      1. A01G8S2

        Disengage the 3 claws to separate the seat cushion climate control duct from the separate type front seat cushion pad.

    4. A01G4ML

      Remove the 2 clips.

    5. A01G8X7

      Disengage the 4 hooks.

    6. A01G8WD

      Remove the 4 clips.

    7. A01G7DU

      Remove the 3 hog rings.

    8. A01G5LO

      Remove the 4 clips.

    9. Disengage each hook and remove the separate type front seat cushion cover with pad.

  22. REMOVE SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEAT CUSHION COVER


    1. A01G53T

      Remove the 2 hog rings.

    2. A01G4K2

      Remove the 16 hog rings and the separate type front seat cushion cover from the separate type front seat cushion pad.

  23. REMOVE FRONT SEATBACK BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. A01G9IC

      Remove the 2 screws.

    2. Disengage the 2 hooks to remove the front seatback board sub-assembly.

  24. REMOVE SEATBACK CLIMATE CONTROL COVER (w/ Climate Control Seat System)

      Remove the 4 screws to remove the seatback climate control cover.

  25. REMOVE SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK COVER WITH PAD


    1. A01G6GK

      Disengage the claw and 2 clamps to separate the front seat airbag assembly wire harness.

    2. A01G6CX

      Remove the 2 hog rings.

    3. A01G4HK

      Disengage each hook.

    4. A01G68K

      Remove the 2 hog rings.

      Remove the 2 nuts and the 3 brackets.

      Disengage each claw and remove the 2 front seat headrest supports.

    7. Remove the separate type front seatback cover with pad.

  26. REMOVE FRONT SEAT AIRBAG ASSEMBLY

    CAUTION:

    When storing the front seat airbag assembly, keep the airbag deployment side facing upward.

      Disengage the 2 clamps.

    2. Remove the 2 nuts and the front seat airbag assembly.

      CAUTION:


      • The nuts must not be reused.

      • Make sure that the front seatback frame sub-assembly is not deformed. If it is, replace it with a new one.

  27. REMOVE SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK COVER

      Remove the 14 hog rings and separate type front seatback cover from the separate type front seatback pad.

  28. REMOVE FRONT SEAT LOWER CUSHION SHIELD LH


    1. A01G8RA

      Remove the screw.

    2. Disengage the hook as shown in the illustration.

    3. Disengage the clip to remove the front seat lower cushion shield LH.

  29. REMOVE FRONT SEAT LOWER CUSHION SHIELD RH

      Remove the screw.

    2. Disengage the hook as shown in the illustration.

    3. Disengage the clip to remove the front seat lower cushion shield RH.

  30. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION EDGE PROTECTOR LH

      Disengage the 2 guides to remove the front seat cushion edge protector LH.

  31. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION EDGE PROTECTOR RH

    Tech Tips

    Perform the same procedure as for the LH side.

  32. REMOVE RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER LH

      Remove the screw.

      Disengage the 3 claws to remove the reclining adjuster inside cover LH.

  33. REMOVE RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER RH

    Perform the same procedure as for the LH side.

  34. REMOVE SEATBACK CLIMATE CONTROL BLOWER (w/ Climate Control Seat System)

      Disconnect the connector.

      Remove the 4 screws and seatback climate control blower.

  35. REMOVE SEATBACK CLIMATE CONTROL DUCT (w/ Climate Control Seat System)

      Disengage the 2 claws to remove the seatback climate control duct from the seatback climate control blower.

  36. REMOVE SEAT CUSHION CLIMATE CONTROL DUCT (w/ Climate Control Seat System)

      Disengage the 2 claws to remove the seat cushion climate control duct from the seat climate control blower.

  37. REMOVE SEAT CLIMATE CONTROL BLOWER (w/ Climate Control Seat System)

      Disconnect the connector.

    2. A01G85B

      Remove the 2 screws.

    3. A01G5DZ

      Open the 2 brackets as shown in the illustration and remove the seat climate control blower from the front seat cushion spring sub-assembly.

  38. REMOVE SEAT HEATER CONTROL SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/ Seat Heater System)

      Disengage the claw to remove the seat heater control sub-assembly.

  39. REMOVE FRONT SEAT WIRE


    1. Disconnect each connector and disengage each clamp to remove the front seat wire.

  40. REMOVE FRONT NO. 2 SEAT WIRE


    1. Disconnect each connector and disengage each clamp to remove the front No. 2 seat wire.

  41. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION SPRING SUB-ASSEMBLY

      Disengage each hook to remove the front seat cushion spring sub-assembly.

  42. REMOVE FRONT SEATBACK EDGE PROTECTOR


    1. A01G9OX

      Disengage each claw to remove the 2 front seatback edge protectors.

  43. REMOVE LUMBAR SUPPORT ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY


    1. Disconnect each connector and disengage each clamp from the lumbar support adjuster assembly.

    2. A01G8YK

      Disengage the 4 claws.

    3. Disengage the 2 guides to remove the lumbar support adjuster assembly.

  44. REMOVE FRONT SEATBACK HOOK


    1. Remove the 2 front seatback hooks from the lumbar support adjuster assembly.

  45. REMOVE FRONT SEATBACK FRAME SUB-ASSEMBLY

      Remove the 4 bolts

    2. Disengage the 2 guides to remove the front seatback frame sub-assembly from the front seat adjuster assembly.
