FRONT CRANKSHAFT OIL SEAL INSTALLATION


  1. INSTALL TIMING CHAIN CASE OIL SEAL

      Oil seal tap in depth

      (0 to 1.0 mm)

      Apply MP grease to a new timing chain case oil seal lip.

    2. Using SST and a hammer, tap in the timing chain case oil seal until its surface is flush with the timing chain cover edge.

      0 to 1.0 mm (0 to 0.0394 in.)

      Note


      • Keep the lip free of foreign matter.

      • Do not tap the timing chain case oil seal at an angle.

  2. INSTALL CRANKSHAFT PULLEY


    1. Align the pulley set key with the key groove of the crankshaft pulley, and slide on the crankshaft pulley.

      Using SST, install the pulley bolt.

      Torque:
      250 N*m  { 2549 kgf*cm, 184 ft.*lbf }
  3. INSTALL V-RIBBED BELT

      *5 Tensioner
      *6 A/C Compressor

      Install the V-ribbed belt.

      Turn the V-ribbed belt tensioner counterclockwise and remove the 5 mm hexagon wrench.

    3. After installing the V-ribbed belt, check that it fits properly in the ribbed grooves. Confirm that the V-ribbed belt has not slipped out of the grooves on the bottom of the crankshaft pulley by hand.

  4. INSTALL FRONT FENDER APRON SEAL RH

  5. INSTALL ENGINE UNDER COVER RH

  6. INSTALL FRONT WHEEL OPENING EXTENSION PAD RH

  7. INSTALL FRONT WHEEL RH

    Torque:
    103 N*m  { 1049 kgf*cm, 76 ft.*lbf }
