PCV VALVE INSPECTION


  1. INSPECT VENTILATION VALVE SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. Install a clean hose to the ventilation valve sub-assembly.

    2. Check ventilation valve sub-assembly operation.

        Blow air into the cylinder head cover sub-assembly side, and check that air passes through easily.

        CAUTION:

        Do not suck air through the valve.

        Petroleum substances inside the valve are hazardous to your health.

        If the result is not as specified, replace the ventilation valve sub-assembly.

        *a Intake Air Surge Tank Assembly Side
        *b Air

        Blow air into the intake air surge tank assembly side, and check that air passes through with difficulty.

        CAUTION:

        Do not suck air through the valve.

        Petroleum substances inside the valve are hazardous to your health.

        If the result is not as specified, replace the ventilation valve sub-assembly.

    3. Remove the hose from the ventilation valve sub-assembly.
