REAR BUMPER DISASSEMBLY

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE REAR BUMPER PAD LH


    1. A0008SX

      Remove the rear bumper pad LH.

  2. REMOVE REAR BUMPER PAD RH


    1. A0008CI

      Remove the rear bumper pad RH.

  3. REMOVE REFLEX REFLECTOR ASSEMBLY LH


    1. A00048V

      Remove the screw.

    2. Disengage the claw and remove the reflex reflector assembly LH.

  4. REMOVE REFLEX REFLECTOR ASSEMBLY RH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  5. REMOVE NO. 2 ULTRASONIC SENSOR WITH CLIP (w/ LEXUS Parking Assist-sensor System)

  6. REMOVE NO. 2 ULTRASONIC SENSOR RETAINER (w/ LEXUS Parking Assist-sensor System)

  7. REMOVE NO. 2 LUGGAGE ROOM WIRE (w/ LEXUS Parking Assist-sensor System)


    1. A0008ZM

      Disengage the clamp and remove the No. 2 luggage room wire.

  8. REMOVE NO. 3 ULTRASONIC SENSOR CLIP (w/ LEXUS Parking Assist-sensor System)


    1. A0006NP

      Remove the No. 3 ultrasonic sensor clip.

  9. REMOVE LOWER REAR BUMPER RETAINER


    1. A0006EN

      Remove the 2 screws.

    2. A0004M3

      Disengage the 10 claws and remove the lower rear bumper retainer.

  10. REMOVE NO. 2 REAR BUMPER SIDE SUPPORT LH


    1. A0005P6

      Using a screw driver, Disengage the 4 clips as shown in the illustration.

    2. A0003H1

      Disengage the 5 claws and remove the No. 2 rear bumper side support LH.

  11. REMOVE NO. 2 REAR BUMPER SIDE SUPPORT RH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  12. REMOVE NO. 1 REAR BUMPER SIDE SUPPORT LH


    1. A00097I

      Remove the 2 grommets.

    2. A0007IC

      Remove the screw.

    3. A0004C7

      Remove the screw.

    4. A0004BH

      Disengage the 2 guides and claw and remove the No. 1 rear bumper side support LH.

  13. REMOVE NO. 1 REAR BUMPER SIDE SUPPORT RH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  14. REMOVE REAR BUMPER ENERGY ABSORBER


    1. A0009DK

      Disengage the 2 guides and remove the rear bumper energy absorber.

  15. REMOVE NO. 1 REAR BUMPER REINFORCEMENT


    1. A0008IQ

      Remove the 6 nuts and No. 1 rear bumper reinforcement.
