  1. INSPECT AUTOMATIC HIGH BEAM SWITCH

      Component without harness connected

      (Automatic High Beam Switch)

      Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      6 - 3 Automatic high beam switch not pushed (OFF) 10 kΩ or higher
      Automatic high beam switch pushed (ON) Below 1 Ω

      If the result is not as specified, replace the automatic high beam switch.

    2. Connect a positive (+) lead from the auxiliary battery to terminal 5 and a negative (-) lead to terminal 4.

    3. Check that the illumination of the switch comes on.

      OK
      The illumination comes on.

      If the result is not as specified, replace the automatic high beam switch.
