PROCEDURE
REMOVE HEADLIGHT CORD
Disconnect the 2 connectors.
Disengage the 2 clamps and remove the headlight cord from the headlight assembly.
REMOVE NO. 1 HEADLIGHT BULB
Turn the No. 1 headlight bulb in the direction indicated by the arrow shown in the illustration, and remove it.
Note
Do not touch the bulb glass.
REMOVE NO. 1 HEADLIGHT COVER (for HID Headlight)
Turn the No. 1 headlight cover in the direction indicated by the arrow shown in the illustration, and remove it.
REMOVE DISCHARGE HEADLIGHT BULB (for HID Headlight)
Turn the socket of the headlight light control ECU sub-assembly in the direction indicated by the arrow shown in the illustration, and disconnect it.
Release the set spring as shown in the illustration and remove the discharge headlight bulb.
Note
Do not touch the bulb glass.
REMOVE NO. 2 HEADLIGHT BULB (for Halogen Headlight)
Turn the No. 2 headlight bulb in the direction indicated by the arrow shown in the illustration, and remove it.

Do not touch the bulb glass.
REMOVE HEADLIGHT SOCKET COVER
Remove the 3 screws and socket fixture from the headlight assembly.
Remove the headlight socket cover from the headlight assembly.
for Halogen Headlight:
Remove the headlight socket cover from the headlight assembly.
REMOVE HEADLIGHT LIGHT CONTROL ECU SUB-ASSEMBLY (for HID Headlight)
Remove the 4 screws and disconnect the headlight light control ECU sub-assembly from the headlight assembly.
Disconnect the connector and remove the headlight light control ECU sub-assembly.
REMOVE HEADLIGHT GASKET (for HID Headlight)
Remove the headlight gasket.
Note
After the headlight gasket is removed, be sure to replace it with a new one. Failure to do so may cause water ingress.
REMOVE FRONT TURN SIGNAL LIGHT BULB
Turn the front turn signal light socket with the front turn signal light bulb in the direction indicated by the arrow shown in the illustration, and remove them as a unit.
Remove the front turn signal light bulb from the front turn signal light socket.
REMOVE HEADLIGHT LEVELING MOTOR
Remove the screw.
Disengage the guide and remove the bracket from the headlight assembly.

Turn the aiming screw of the headlight leveling motor in the direction indicated by the arrow (1) shown in the illustration.
Tech Tips
Turn the aiming screw until the headlight leveling motor can be moved in the direction indicated by the arrow (2) shown in the illustration.
Make sure to remember the number of aiming screw rotations.
Turn the headlight leveling motor in the direction indicated by the arrow (2) shown in the illustration.
Tech Tips
When removing the headlight leveling motor of the headlight assembly RH, turn the headlight leveling motor in the opposite direction of the arrow (2) shown in the illustration.

Turn the aiming screw of the headlight leveling motor in the direction indicated by the arrow (3) shown in the illustration to disengage the shaft.
Tech Tips
Make sure to remember the number of aiming screw rotations.
Pull out the headlight leveling motor in the direction indicated by the arrow (4) shown in the illustration to remove it.
REMOVE HEADLIGHT LEVELING MOTOR BASE PACKING
Remove the headlight leveling motor base packing.
Note
After the headlight leveling motor base packing is removed, be sure to replace it with a new one. Failure to do so may cause water ingress.
REMOVE HEADLIGHT LENS

Remove the 3 screws.
Using a T20H "TORX" driver, remove the "TORX" screw.
Remove the 3 screws.
Using a dryer, heat the backside of the headlight assembly.
Note
If the headlight is heated unevenly, it will deform or melt.
Disengage the 9 claws and remove the headlight lens.
Note
Wear rubber gloves when handling the headlight lens.
Do not touch the lens or the aluminum surfaces with bare hands.
If there are fingerprints on the aluminum surfaces, wipe them off with a soft cloth.
If there are fingerprints on the back of the headlight lens, replace the headlight lens.
Do not allow dirt or foreign matter to get on the headlight lens.
Tech Tips
If the lens cannot be removed even after heating, using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in tape, lift the lens. Be careful not to damage the headlight lens and housing.
REMOVE HEADLIGHT LENS GASKET
Remove the headlight lens gasket from the housing.
REMOVE HEADLIGHT UNIT
Disconnect the connector.
Remove the 3 screws and headlight unit from the housing.
