AUTOMATIC HIGH BEAM SYSTEM Automatic High Beam Switch Circuit

DESCRIPTION

The main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) detects auto high beam switch signals.

The automatic high beam system can be turned on and off by operating the auto high beam switch.

If the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) is replaced, refer to Service Bulletin.

PROCEDURE


  1. READ VALUE USING GTS


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Main Body / Data List.

    5. Read the display on the GTS.

  2. INSPECT AUTO HIGH BEAM SWITCH


    1. Remove the auto high beam switch Click here.

    2. Inspect the auto high beam switch Click here.

      OK
      Auto high beam switch is normal.

    NG
    OK
  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (AUTO HIGH BEAM SWITCH - MAIN BODY ECU (MULTIPLEX NETWORK BODY ECU))


    1. Disconnect the H7 auto high beam switch connector.

    2. Disconnect the H10 main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      H7-6 (+B) - H10-17 (AHBI) Always Below 1 Ω
      H7-6 (+B) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

  4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (AUTO HIGH BEAM SWITCH - BODY GROUND)


    1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      H7-3 (E) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
