AUTOMATIC HEADLIGHT BEAM LEVEL CONTROL SYSTEM ECU Power Source Circuit

DESCRIPTION

This circuit detects the state of the power switch, and sends it to the headlight leveling ECU (headlight swivel ECU assembly).

  • Inspect the fuses for circuits related to this system before performing the following procedure.

  • If the headlight leveling ECU (headlight swivel ECU assembly) has been replaced, it is necessary to synchronize the vehicle information and initialize the headlight leveling ECU (headlight swivel ECU assembly) Click here.

PROCEDURE


  1. READ VALUE USING GTS


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / AFS / Data List.

    5. Read the Data List according to the display on the GTS.

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POWER SOURCE AND BODY GROUND - HEADLIGHT LEVELING ECU (HEADLIGHT SWIVEL ECU ASSEMBLY))


    1. Disconnect the A80 headlight leveling ECU (headlight swivel ECU assembly) connector.

    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      A80-14 (IGS) - Body ground Power switch off Below 1 V
      A80-14 (IGS) - Body ground Power switch on (IG) 11 to 14 V
      A80-15 (IG) - Body ground Power switch off Below 1 V
      A80-15 (IG) - Body ground Power switch on (IG) 11 to 14 V
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
