DESCRIPTION

Each headlight swivel motor (leveling function) receives a signal from the headlight leveling ECU (headlight swivel ECU assembly) to operate and sends a signal indicating the direction of the headlight and condition of the headlight swivel motor (leveling function) to the headlight leveling ECU (headlight swivel ECU assembly).

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POWER SOURCE - HEADLIGHT LEVELING ECU (HEADLIGHT SWIVEL ECU ASSEMBLY))


    1. Disconnect the A80 headlight leveling ECU (headlight swivel ECU assembly) connector.

    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      A80-14 (IGS) - Body ground Power switch off Below 1 V
      A80-14 (IGS) - Body ground Power switch on (IG) 11 to 14 V

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (HEADLIGHT LEVELING ECU (HEADLIGHT SWIVEL ECU ASSEMBLY) - HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY)


    1. Disconnect the A80 headlight leveling ECU (headlight swivel ECU assembly) connector.

    2. Disconnect the A71 headlight assembly LH connector or A76 headlight assembly RH connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      A80-1 (SMBL) - A71-4 (LH T) Always Below 1 Ω
      A80-27 (SMGL) - A71-1 (LH E) Always Below 1 Ω

      A80-27 (SMGL) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
