DESCRIPTION

This DTC is stored when the headlight leveling ECU (headlight swivel ECU assembly) detects malfunctions in the rear height control sensor sub-assembly power source or rear height control sensor sub-assembly.

  • If the headlight leveling ECU (headlight swivel ECU assembly) has been replaced, it is necessary to synchronize the vehicle information and initialize the headlight leveling ECU (headlight swivel ECU assembly) Click here.

  • If any of the following are performed, it is necessary to initialize the headlight leveling ECU (headlight swivel ECU assembly) Click here.


    • Replacement of the rear height control sensor sub-assembly

    • Removal/installation of the rear height control sensor sub-assembly

    • Work that changes the vehicle height such as replacement of suspension components

  1. CHECK FOR DTC


    1. Clear the DTCs Click here.

    2. Check for DTCs Click here.

      OK
      DTC B2416 is not output.

    OK

    USE SIMULATION METHOD TO CHECK Click here

  2. READ VALUE USING GTS


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / AFS / Data List.

    5. Read the Data List according to the display on the GTS.

    2. Inspect the rear height control sensor sub-assembly Click here.

  4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (HEADLIGHT LEVELING ECU (HEADLIGHT SWIVEL ECU ASSEMBLY) - REAR HEIGHT CONTROL SENSOR SUB-ASSEMBLY)


    1. Disconnect the A80 headlight leveling ECU (headlight swivel ECU assembly) connector.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      A80-18 (SBR) - Q14-3 (SHB) Always Below 1 Ω
      A80-21 (SGR) - Q14-1 (SHG) Always Below 1 Ω
      A80-18 (SBR) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      A80-21 (SGR) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
