HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY REMOVAL

PROCEDURE

1. Click here

   REMOVE COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL

   Click here

2. Click here

   REMOVE FRONT WHEEL LH (for LHD)

3. Click here

   REMOVE FRONT WHEEL OPENING EXTENSION PAD LH (for LHD)

   Tip:

   Use the same procedure as for the RH side (Click here).

4. Click here

   REMOVE FRONT FENDER LINER LH (for LHD)

   Tip:

   Use the same procedure as for the RH side (Click here).

5. Click here

   REMOVE FRONT WHEEL RH (for RHD)

6. Click here

   REMOVE FRONT WHEEL OPENING EXTENSION PAD RH (for RHD)

   Click here

7. Click here

   REMOVE FRONT FENDER LINER RH (for RHD)

   Click here

8. Click here

   REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH (for LHD)

   Click here

9. Click here

   REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIM BOARD LH (for LHD)

   Click here

10. Click here

    REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH (for RHD)

    Tip:

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side (Click here).

    REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIM BOARD RH (for RHD)

    Tip:

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side (Click here).

    DISCONNECT HOOD LOCK CONTROL LEVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

    Click here

    REMOVE HOOD LOCK CONTROL LEVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

    
    
    1. 

       Disconnect the hood lock control cable assembly and remove the hood lock control lever sub-assembly.

    REMOVE HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY (for LHD)

    
    
    1. 

       Disconnect the connector.

    2. Disengage the clamp.

    3. 

       Remove the 3 bolts.

    4. 

       Disconnect the hood lock control cable assembly and remove the hood lock assembly.

    REMOVE HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY (for RHD)

    
    
    1. 

       Disconnect the connector.

    2. Disengage the clamp.

    3. 

       Remove the 3 bolts.

    4. 

       Disconnect the hood lock control cable assembly and remove the hood lock assembly.

    REMOVE HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY (for LHD)

    
    
    1. 

       Using a screwdriver, disengage the 5 clamps and hood cable grommet as shown in the illustration.

       Tip:

       Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

    2. Pull the hood lock control cable assembly from the engine compartment and remove it.

    REMOVE HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY (for RHD)

    
    
    1. 

       Using a screwdriver, disengage the 4 clamps and hood cable grommet as shown in the illustration.

       Tip:

       Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

    2. Pull the hood lock control cable assembly from the engine compartment and remove it.
