LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR CLOSER SYSTEM Luggage Compartment Door Closer does not Operate

DESCRIPTION

The luggage door closer assembly is controlled by the luggage closer motor assembly. The closer motor is activated according to the switch signals in the luggage door closer assembly.

  • Inspect the fuses for circuits related to this system before performing the following inspection procedure.

  2. READ VALUE USING GTS


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Back Door / Data List.

    5. Read the Data List according to the display on the GTS.

  3. READ VALUE USING GTS


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

      Disconnect the U16 luggage closer motor assembly connector.

    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

  5. INSPECT LUGGAGE DOOR CLOSER ASSEMBLY

      Remove the luggage door closer assembly Click here.

    2. Set the luggage door closer assembly to the half-latch position.

    3. Apply auxiliary battery voltage to the luggage door closer assembly connector and check the closer operation.

      Auxiliary battery negative (-) → Terminal 1 (M-)

      Luggage door closer assembly half latched → fully latched
    4. Set the luggage door closer assembly to the fully latched position.

    5. Apply auxiliary battery voltage to the luggage door closer assembly connector and check the open operation.

    2. Disconnect the U4 luggage compartment door lock cylinder assembly connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
