    CHECK WINDOW LOCK SWITCH

    Tip:

    Before performing the window lock switch operation check, make sure that the window lock switch is off (the switch is not pushed in).


    1. When the window lock switch of the multiplex network master switch assembly is pushed: Check that the power window switch operation indicators for all switches other than those on the multiplex network master switch are off and that the front passenger and rear windows are disabled.

      OK
      Front passenger and rear windows are disabled.
    2. When the window lock switch is pushed in again: Check that all of the power window switch operation indicators illuminate and that the front passenger and rear windows can be operated normally.

      OK
      Front passenger and rear windows operate normally.
  2. CHECK MANUAL UP / DOWN FUNCTION


    1. Check that the driver door power window operates as follows:

  6. CHECK POWER WINDOW OPERATION FUNCTION AFTER POWER SWITCH IS TURNED OFF


    1. Check that all the power windows can be operated with the multiplex network master switch assembly and power window regulator switch assemblies (for front passenger door, rear LH and RH doors) after the power switch is turned off.

      Tip:

      If the window lock switch is on, the power windows cannot be operated besides the driver door power window. Therefore, turn the window lock switch off before checking the window operation.

    2. Check that the key-off operation function does not operate after the driver door or front passenger door is opened.

      Tip:

      Even if the driver door or passenger door is opened during automatic window operation while the key-off operation function is on, the window will continue operating.

    3. Check that all the power windows cannot be operated after more than approximately 43 seconds have elapsed since the power switch was turned off.

  7. CHECK KEY-LINKED FUNCTION USING DRIVER DOOR KEY CYLINDER*


    • *: This function is set through the customize function, as it is off by default.


    1. Check that all power windows operate as follows:

  8. CHECK WIRELESS TRANSMITTER-LINKED FUNCTION*


    • *: This function is set through the customize function, as it is off by default.


    1. Check that all power windows operate as follows when operating the electrical key transmitter:

  9. CHECK JAM PROTECTION FUNCTION


    1. Check the basic function.

      CAUTION:

      Do not put your fingers between the door frame and door glass to check the jam protection function. Also, prevent any part of your body from being caught during inspection.

      Tip:

      The jam protection function is operative during both the auto up and manual up operations while the hybrid control system is started or the power switch is on (IG), and also for approximately 43 seconds after the power switch was turned off.


      1. Fully open the window.

        Set a check jig wrapped with a piece of cloth near the window fully closed position.

      3. Operate the auto up or manual up function to check that the power window stops and goes down after the check jig is caught between the window and door frame, and stops when the opening reaches approximately 200 mm (7.87 in.) or until approximately 5 seconds elapse.

        Tip:

        If the check jig is caught when the opening is approximately 75 mm (2.95 in.) or more, the power window goes down approximately 125 mm (4.93 in.) or until approximately 2.5 seconds elapse.

      4. While the power window is moving down, check that the door glass cannot be raised when the power window switch is used.

  10. CHECK WINDOW OPEN WARNING


    1. Open a window by using the power window switch.

    2. When the power switch is turned from on (IG) to off and the driver door is opened with the key in the vehicle, check that the warning buzzer in the combination meter assembly sounds once. Then, check that the multi-information display on the combination meter assembly displays "Window opened".

  11. CHECK POWER WINDOW SWITCH LED ILLUMINATION


    1. Check the LED illumination (multiplex network master switch assembly).


      1. Check that the LEDs located on the multiplex network master switch assembly illuminate when the power switch is turned on (IG).

    2. Check the LED illumination (power window regulator switch assembly (for front passenger door)).


      1. Check that the LED located in the power window regulator switch assembly (for front passenger door) illuminates when the power switch is turned on (IG).

        Tip:

        If the window lock switch is on, the LED located in the power window regulator switch assembly (for front passenger door) will not illuminate. Therefore, turn the window lock switch off before checking the LED illumination.

    3. Check the LED illumination (power window regulator switch assembly (for rear LH and RH)).


      1. Check that the LED located in each power window regulator switch assembly (for rear LH and RH) illuminates when the power switch is turned on (IG).

        Tip:

        If the window lock switch is on, the LEDs located in the power window regulator switch assemblies (for rear LH and RH) will not illuminate. Therefore, turn the window lock switch off before checking the LED illumination.
