B2001 Short to ground in the seat belt motor RH circuit continues for 1 second or more.
  • Front seat outer belt assembly RH

  • Wire harness or connector (seat belt control ECU - front seat outer belt assembly RH)

  • Seat belt control ECU

CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT

CAUTION:

The pretensioner is built into the front seat outer belt assembly RH. Be sure to follow the correct inspection procedure, as failure to follow the correct procedure (such as inspection of incorrect connectors) may deploy the pretensioner.

PROCEDURE


  1. INSPECT FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY RH

      Component without harness connected

      (Front Seat Outer Belt Assembly RH)

      Disconnect the Q21 front seat outer belt assembly RH connector.

      Tech Tips

      Do not remove the front seat outer belt assembly RH.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      Q21-1 - Body ground Always 1 MΩ or higher
      Q21-2 - Body ground Always 1 MΩ or higher

      CAUTION:

      Do not check the wrong connector.

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY RH - SEAT BELT CONTROL ECU)


    1. Disconnect the H77 seat belt control ECU connector.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      H77-1 (MOR-) - Body ground Always 1 MΩ or higher
      H77-2 (MOR+) - Body ground Always 1 MΩ or higher
