  1. DATA LIST

    Tip:

Using the GTS to read the Data List allows the values or states of switches, sensors, actuators and other items to be read without removing any parts. This non-intrusive inspection can be very useful because intermittent conditions or signals may be discovered before parts or wiring is disturbed. Reading the Data List information early in troubleshooting is one way to save diagnostic time.

    Note:

In the table below, the values listed under "Normal Condition" are reference values. Do not depend solely on these reference values when deciding whether a part is faulty or not.

    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus:

      1. for Pre-Crash: Body Electrical / Pre-Crash / Data List.

      2. for Pre-Crash 2: Body Electrical / Pre-Crash 2 / Data List.

    5. Read the Data List according to the display on the GTS.

      Tip:

As the driving support ECU and seat belt control ECU both have Data List for the pre-crash system, be sure to check the Pre-Crash and Pre-Crash 2 Data Lists.

  2. ACTIVE TEST

    Tip:

Using the GTS to perform Active Tests allows relays, VSVs, actuators and other items to be operated without removing any parts. This non-intrusive functional inspection can be very useful because intermittent operation may be discovered before parts or wiring is disturbed. Performing Active Tests early in troubleshooting is one way to save diagnostic time. Data List information can be displayed while performing Active Tests.

    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus:

      1. for Pre-Crash: Body Electrical / Pre-Crash / Active Test.

      2. for ABS/VSC/TRC: Chassis / ABS/VSC/TRC / Active Test.

    5. Perform Active Test according to the display on the GTS.

      Tip:

The power switch must be turned on (IG) to proceed with the Active Test using the GTS.
