If the rear seat airbag assembly was deployed, replace the rear seat airbag assembly, bench type rear seatback cover and bench type rear seatback pad with the necessary parts in accordance with the extent of the collision damage (Click here).
Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.
The procedure listed below is for the LH side.

Be sure to read Precaution thoroughly before servicing (Click here).
After turning the power switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal notices before proceeding with work (Click here).
REMOVE LUGGAGE TRIM SERVICE HOLE COVER
DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal to disable the SRS system.
When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected (Click here).
REMOVE REAR SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY
REMOVE REAR CENTER SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY
REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY
REMOVE REAR SEATBACK ASSEMBLY
REMOVE REAR SEAT AIRBAG ASSEMBLY
When storing the rear seat airbag assembly, keep the airbag deployment side facing upward.
Remove the 3 hog rings.

Disengage the clamp and fastener to disconnect the airbag wire harness.
Remove the 4 nuts and rear seat airbag assembly.
The nuts must not be reused.
Make sure that the bench type rear seatback pad is not deformed. If it is, replace it with a new one.
