DESCRIPTION

This DTC is stored when LIN communication between the power window regulator motor assembly (for driver door) and main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) stops for 10 seconds or more.

Note:
  • Inspect the fuses for circuits related to this system before performing the following inspection procedure.

  • When a power window regulator motor assembly is replaced or removed and reinstalled, it requires initialization (Click here).

  • If the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) is replaced, refer to Service Bulletin.

PROCEDURE


  1. Click here

    CHECK DTC OUTPUT


    1. Clear the DTCs (Click here).

    2. Recheck for DTCs.

      Result
      Result Proceed to
      Only DTC B2321 is output. A
      DTC B1206 and B2321 are output simultaneously. B
      Tip:

      When DTC B1206 and B2321 are output simultaneously, perform troubleshooting for DTC B1206 first.

    CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (MASTER SWITCH - DRIVER DOOR POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR)


    1. Disconnect the M4*1 or L13*2 multiplex network master switch connector.


      • *1: for LHD

      • *2: for RHD

    2. Disconnect the M8*1 or L9*2 power window regulator motor (for driver door) connector.


      • *1: for LHD

      • *2: for RHD

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Table 1. for LHD
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      M4-16 (LIN2) - M8-9 (LIN) Always Below 1 Ω
      M4-16 (LIN2) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      Table 2. for RHD
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      L13-16 (LIN2) - L9-9 (LIN) Always Below 1 Ω
      L13-16 (LIN2) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    INSPECT MULTIPLEX NETWORK MASTER SWITCH ASSEMBLY

      Remove the multiplex network master switch assembly (Click here).

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

    1. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

    1. Clear the DTCs (Click here).

    2. Check for DTCs.

      OK
      DTC B2321 is not output.
