DESCRIPTION

This circuit provides power to operate the blind spot monitor sensor.

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (BLIND SPOT MONITOR SENSOR LH - AUXILIARY BATTERY)


    1. Disconnect the U8 blind spot monitor sensor LH connector.

    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      U8-5 (BLB) - Body ground Power switch on (IG) 11 to 14 V
      U8-5 (BLB) - Body ground Power switch off Below 1 V

    OK
  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (BLIND SPOT MONITOR SENSOR LH - BODY GROUND)


    1. Disconnect the U8 blind spot monitor sensor LH connector.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      U8-10 (BLGD) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (BLIND SPOT MONITOR SENSOR RH - AUXILIARY BATTERY)


    1. Disconnect the U9 blind spot monitor sensor RH connector.

    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      U9-5 (BRB) - Body ground Power switch on (IG) 11 to 14 V
      U9-5 (BRB) - Body ground Power switch off Below 1 V

  4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (BLIND SPOT MONITOR SENSOR RH - BODY GROUND)


    1. Disconnect the U9 blind spot monitor sensor RH connector.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      U9-10 (BRGD) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
