DESCRIPTION

This DTC is stored when the blind spot monitor sensor LH detects a ground short in the outer rear view mirror indicator LH.

  • Both of the following conditions are met:

  • Blind spot monitor main switch (warning canceling switch assembly) is on.


  • The current that is sent from the blind spot monitor sensor to the indicator is above a specified level for a specified period of time.

  • Outer rear view mirror LH (outer rear view mirror indicator LH)

  • Outer rear view mirror assembly LH

  • Wire harness or connector

  • Blind spot monitor sensor LH

  • Outer mirror control ECU assembly LH

CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT

Note:

When checking for DTCs, make sure that the blind spot monitor main switch (warning canceling switch assembly) is on.

PROCEDURE


  1. Click here

    CHECK DTC


    1. Clear the DTCs (Click here).

    2. Recheck for DTCs and check if the same DTC is output again.

      OK
      No DTCs are output.

  2. Click here

    CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (BLIND SPOT MONITOR SENSOR LH - OUTER MIRROR CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY LH)


    1. Disconnect the U8 blind spot monitor sensor LH connector.

    2. Disconnect the M9 outer mirror control ECU assembly LH connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Always
      M9-13 (BDSL) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    • NG

      REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

  3. Click here

    CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY LH - OUTER MIRROR CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY LH)


    1. Disconnect the z10 outer mirror control ECU assembly LH connector.

    2. Disconnect the IND2 outer rear view mirror LH connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      z10-8 (BSM) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    INSPECT OUTER MIRROR CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY LH


    1. Disconnect the M9 outer mirror control ECU assembly LH connector.

    2. A00047FE04

      Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      M9-13 (BDSL) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    REPLACE OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR LH


    1. Replace the outer rear view mirror LH (Click here).


  6. Click here

    CHECK DTC


    1. Clear the DTCs (Click here).

    2. Recheck for DTCs and check if the same DTC is output again.

      OK
      No DTCs are output.

    • OK

      END (OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR LH WAS DEFECTIVE)

    • NG

      REPLACE BLIND SPOT MONITOR SENSOR LH (Click here)
