    CUSTOMER PROBLEM ANALYSIS


    1. Ask the customer about the problems and the conditions at the time the malfunction occurred to make sure the problem symptom was not temporarily caused by radio waves in the surrounding environment.

      Tip:

      The parking assist monitor display may be temporarily distorted due to radio waves around the vehicle.

      Problem Symptom Cause

      • Both of the following conditions are met
      • The problem symptom indicates a parking assist monitor display malfunction and the problem symptom cannot be reproduced.

      • DTC C1622 is output as "Hist" only.*

      The display may be temporarily distorted when the vehicle is close to an object that transmits radio waves, such as a telecommunication tower, an airport or a truck equipped with a transceiver.

      *: DTCs output as "Hist" will not be output again after DTCs are cleared.

    INSPECT AUXILIARY BATTERY VOLTAGE


    1. Measure the auxiliary battery voltage with the power switch off.

      Standard Voltage
      11 to 14 V

      If the voltage is below 11 V, replace or recharge the auxiliary battery before proceeding to the next step.
